You might have tried on WordPress.com

You should be using a self hosted WordPress installation through WordPress.org - that's the one that's completely free for use.

The COM is the paid one while the ORG is free and open source.

Tbh this is an amazing guide and is still relevant. Although the Let's Encrypt guide seems a little outdated because certbot says it's not compatible with the Debian instance Google sets up for you. This shouldn't be a problem though, just go to the certbot website, they have all the guides you'll ever need.

in GCP when i try to make a new deployment, it says it will be $5.13 per month, i've read on google and the F1 micro is still in Free Tier products. any idea why this happens? and how to make it free?
