Doing Ads to Rank Videos

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has tried to do Google Ads on YouTube to gain good views and engagement so that you can rank that video on the YouTube search and get more in the suggested.

Does it work? Does YouTube count those views as if they were natural and you can actually rank by doing them?

True, but Google algorithm works differently: YouTube's main ranking factor is engagement, rather than backlinks. I just don't know if YouTube bypasses any paid engagement so it doesn't count.

BIG NO! From my experience it show as youtube advertisement so it won't do nothing to rank your video. If you can get youtube search views that be good but idk any provider.

Yeah, good point. But for many keywords you need hundreds of thousands of views to rank, so you don't just have to chip in $5 and you're first, it would be more like spending a few thousand $, so I'm wondering if after akljl

What i know is it's better if you have an old channel like made back in 2010 or 2016 and u should have a good amount of subscribers , that alone may give you some authority and boost (from my experience).

Yep, precisely the same experience I've had. Used to rank insanely easily and profit from that, now I can do ok with my old channel, but I've created a new one for another niche, created a video a week for months, bought hundreds of thousands of views, likes, shares, comments and so on... And still quite bad ranking.

google ads is more for brand awareness or increase sells when you drive traffic to the money site with it (same as adwords for search/display) it will not directly improve your ranking, even watch-time is not added are regular views

I think maybe u should play on volume, like create a lot of videos and that way u may increase the amount of traffic.

Good point. I'm trying to do that, I've done a video a week since February, but still zero results for that channel. Meanwhile my old one with just 5 videos is doing great results lol

Btw i'm looking to test this maybe later , it would be a great case study. Some videos u just upload them and they already start getting views with no boost and i think if u focus on quantity it may bring a lot.

You dont need thousands of views to rank. You need to have a higher engagement rate than your competitors. That means higher CTR, higher Watchtime, more likes and comments. And no, panels WILL NOT HELP. That's hows there are some videos that have far less views but still ranked higher than videos with millions of views
