Google releasing a large update today

They did it on purpose. They spam the first page with amazon, eBay, aliexpress, and other sites that won't pay for the adword. These businesses won't be affected by google search.
Left with the small companies, which eventually have to pay for Ads.

The keyword I'm looking for is a type of product.

Amazon rank 1 and 2. WhyTF they showed 2 links? Aliexpress rank 9.

It even showed a few Indonesia-only-ecommerce on page 2-4. I'm browsing from California.

Basically there many ecommerce and dropship sites.

Is it because of covid, more people are purchasing online. Thus Google push all the eCommerce sites to the top?

Did he actually respond in a gloating way indicating that your site didn't deserve to be on the first page? Did you ask him more about the new sites that took the first page? And if they like you say are fishy no content PBN sites?
 
When are they gonna fix the pinterest bug, pinterest and social media results everywhere

From 5k to 1.5k.....Rip my motivation, as I heard there will be an update in 2021 where it will be about Core Web Vitals Metrics so prepare your sites to take advantage over trash sites.

Did GSC registered pinterest links before?

Right now every pin i create gets a link in GSC and that is really odd.
 
Finally seeing a little progress after updating the content, considering before I was getting nothing or dancing positions (but mostly going down).

Two days ago I made a test updating just three (random) posts that I didn't update for 6+ months. My site have 1500+ and I create new ones everyday, so before I started updating everything and work even more, I decided to test first and in just two days, I got a little boost from google.

Nothing great, I know, but this reinforce my idea that google is boosting fresh content and demoting old outdated content. Nothing to do with backlinking profile.

That's why I think that newer sites with, sometimes worst but newer content is getting better results.

And this is only in my case. I bet someone else could already be updating their content without any progress at all.

I didn't mention my site. He never replied to my subsequent tweets.
I sent the site to a reputable SEO agency, they were confused too.

You are right, I have tested this myself with a lot of posts, ranking and traffic seem to be improving. I have over 2500 post to go through LOL

We have thousands of links from Pinterest in GSC. I think this update is about content freshness, that is why dynamic websites like pinterest and social media are ranking high.

Damn. That's a shit ton of posts. LOL. I guess you should consider hiring a VA. How long are they?
 
Did anyone's rankings drop even further? There seems to have been another mini update either yesterday or today and now I'm losing even more keywords :(
