If you want to bid and dropcatch any domains it's the only way. I uploaded my document and got approved after 1 day some years ago, still bidding on domains until now

Yeah, but we have to make sure how they treat these documents to keep em secure, especially they ask for a selfie with id card. if they stock these docs, with lack of security this may allow scammers to use our infos in their crimes

You are right of course. They have millions of users, its up to you if you trust them or not

Don't trust any places that request your selfie id if they are not an actual financial institution. Completely insecure. Sum.sub kyc is the worst. Flippa uses them. They pretend to be in London, but really their owned by a putin russian backed shadow holding company in cyprus. No good.

Sorry for resurrecting an old post, but I mostly read blackhatworld through googling old posts and researching everything this way, as someone who is still learning the ropes of this mastery.

So I'm pretty sure that this post even though is old, still being read by newbies like me and would be interested in updates.

I wanted to share my experience too on this topic. As you see I got this verification request I attached below as an image.

I'd like to add to this topic an important thought. I worked in micro-loan organization and to get a micro-loan the info dropcatch is asking is more than enough.

I did not expect that they ask you to take a photo where both your face and passport are seen.

If they get a data breached, by regular Terms&Service agreement they can't be held responsible for your losses, only you for their losses.

So this is an enormous personal risk to take. Worst thing is that you never know when they decide to close the company and the data "accidentally" gets lost by some of their careless intern.

There are several services that don't ask such information. I won't name them, of course, to not advertise. But let's avoid dropcatch so that there are no more such services that requires such sensitive info.
