Google releasing a large update today

Pinterest is absolutely dominating with this update.
I just googled one of the keywords related to an article I wrote 6 months ago, and 5 out of the ten results were Pinterest, for the exact same Pin, which was my Pin, from my article. My article was in position 2, with Pinterest in the number 1 position.

From June 2th, I stopped losing massive amounts of keywords. Now I have no movement in SERPs. No ups, no downs. Everything stays the same every day.

Well, there has been an interesting development. One of my best keywords has been put in the Research snippet (or however it's called) at the top of the first Google page and... nobody clicks on it. Not a single click. And I bet the other two artciles that are next to mine in the Research box see the same thing. The rest of the page is filled with Amazon and other brands that sell the product, as well as about 4-5 ads. So what's the point of these boxes that gravitate around the 'main search content' if the regular user clearly thinks it's ads or spam or whatever and avoids it?

We are experiencing exactly the same thing. The loss stopped and now its just no movement at all! This is sick!
At least Google needs to come out and say, we screwed up with this update, we are doing another core update soon!
There are sites that can't afford to wait until Sept, Oct for next update.

What is your niche?

Ok, daily news :)
My website is outranked by instagram profile with exact match keyword in profile title. I am done.

Peoples in SEO profession need to work hard...after this update...

Work hard on what?
What have we to change to our sites in order to rank again?
Nothing.
Google tells us NOTHING.
We don't know what google likes or want or consider important after ANY update.
We could be ready to work hard if Google tells us in which direction to move.
I am fed up with their socket puppets on twitter paid 6 figures per year and their work is write bullshits to confuse people.

Well, guys, we only just have touched the bottom. Our websites fell like 3-4 times in traffic. Which is quite painful.
Kindly share any links, articles, anything on BHW that can help us restore the website ranking and traffic.

Thank you in advance.

.

You can't.
It's better to understand that WE CAN'T.
If we do not know WHAT IS IMPORTANT NOW for google we can't restore our websites.
We can only make assumptions, theories, conjectures but nothing certain.

I see. But there are folks and businesses that are doing fine with the updates. Some businesses I believe mostly the white hats, are doing fine.
Saying this because I have a fellow who owns 2 websites and they look alright with the update.
So, there must be some practice that shows what the current update accepts. Can't we just stick with the practice of the winner websites? Or am I wrong?

The thing is that for now there is not an exact pattern of what websites were hit. Some blackhat websites were hit, some whitehat as well. So you can't really draw any meaningful conclusions.

Alright. Thank you for answers. So as far as I understand the best thing we should do is keep studying the current update, check our analytics and keep investments (time and money) into SEO for a month or so, as we get enough data to act.

Definitely. And if you need traffic, invest in google ads. Fckn bad and brutal, but that's how it looks and what they want.
