hi house, please i just migrated my blog from blogger to wordpress and my links are not aligning. i have followed different tutorials online. see example below.

link on current wordpress blog
http://nigeriaonlinebusiness.com/20...-entrepreneurs-use-to-make-money-online/.html

link on former blogger and search engines

http://nigeriaonlinebusiness.com/2018/04/top-5-strategies-millionaire.html

if you notice i have aligned the year and month and the .html on blogger but the challenge is that the urls on the former blogger are not the complete titles. they are just part of the titles. please guys how can i address this urgently?

Not sure if I got your problem quite clearly, but if it's url(title) issue, just change the slug of url in wordpress>edit post. Wordpress takes the whole title of the post and includes it in the url slug, that may be the issue.

thanks so much for the swift response sir. thanks added. the challange is the wordpress is taking the complete title while blogger was not using the complete title. so they are now different urls as seen in the above example.

So that's the problem. You can use this plugin- https://wordpress.org/plugins/bulk-edit-post-titles/ to bulk edit them. Just copy past the old titles if you have them.

Your link works fine even without the ./html at the end. What I would recommend you is to leave the slugs/permalinks as they are and just make 301 redirects from the old to the new ones.

try searching for site:nigeriaonlinebusiness.com on google so you understand the problem. all the links will not work

Not sure it will help as the plugin was not updated for 12 months, but...
I had a site where I was in need of a special link to one of my posts.

Please check this plugin: custom permalinks
https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-permalinks/

You will have to change every post link in your WordPress manually to the old one...

I hope it will help.
