The money as we know it now (Euro, USD, CHF) will dissappear, maybe not in the near future, but that's where we're heading.
Cryptocurrency could be the new money....although nobody will control it, so that's not really humanly possible as we, as a race, have controlling obsession in our veins.
But yes, I do believe in a world without money ....who knows, maybe we will go back to trading goods more valuable than money.

Well, slightly different topic - but related to your question: If you believe conspiracy theories - the plan of the elites is to remove paper money out of life and use only credit/debit cards and ultimately RFID chips. Look what happens now during the pandemic - people pay mostly with credit cards, many people are afraid of paying in cash now.

You do realize "money" acts as a system of exchange right? Even if it disappears, it won't make any difference. People will still find out another way of exchanging things, be it gold, silver or bronze. Even if exchanging lands, people who have more influence may be seen as more powerful even if he/she does not possess any money.

I don't know if anyone has heard of The Venus Project? It proposes a resource-based economy.

The whole idea seems great (very utopian), but knowing human nature there needs to be an enormous shift and radical change globaly.
It's certain this is unlikely to happen in our lifetime though. This could mean the end of life as we know it and no one will be willing to give that up (especially those that are in power and the wealthy).

Let's build a car without money. Where are you going to to get all the components without money? A manufacturer has hundreds if not thousands of third party providers they use to assemble a car. How are they going to pay all these providers to manufacture the parts they need for them?

Apple for example pays lg and samsumg for their iPhone screens, a company in china for their chips, intel/Qualcomm for their modems and so on. Why would these companies make the components if they have no incentive? Are they going to work for free?

Considering that the law & order remains active, the Govts will find another way of exchange to keep the society going. Rich people will find a way to regain control over the world, while poor struggle to earn food. The richest will create wars and sell weapons in exchange for natural resources.
