Finally got fucked by paypal!

I got hit last month but thank god it was just id and proof of address but diden't find any problem since i'm using my real identity. I think u should be fine just find a way to show them a receipt.

You can either oil up your ass, get stealth PayPals or move over to affiliate marketing instead of direct sales.

2checkout is a payment processor. But you need a website to get accepted, and they have a Long list of niches they don't accept.

I like it, and I dislike it. There's good and bad.

First of all their website sucks balls. You can never find anything on there. I hate logging in to look for the simplest of things, it's always a drag. Also their fees are a tad bit higher than Paypal, which isn't really a big issue, except if a customer pays in any currency other than USD (and they support A Lot of currencies) then 2checkout will take like 2% or 3% fee on the conversion, or they'll give a bad conversion rate, or both. And they have a rolling reserve type thing where they keep 2% or 3% of every payment you receive for 60 days (could be 90 days).

All in all, a customer pays me $100 in some weird currency, I lose like 7% or 8% on that (receiving fee + currency conversion whatever fee).

These are the negatives. Clearly, there are some.

The positives are that for some customers it's convenient to pay in their own currency. Customers can pay with debit/credit cards and with Paypal. Also 2checkout and Payoneer are partners, so you link your 2co and Payo accounts and then you get your payments from 2co sent directly to Payoneer at no extra fee. Also customer support is fairly quick and helpful.

I think 2checkout is a nice addition to anyone making money online and dealing directly with customers and payments.

But Payoneer and Transferwise are my 2 favorites right now. Transferwise has unbelievable crazy low fees, and Payoneer, well, it's a fucking life saver :)

Very good detailed reply, thank you!
For the 2checkout the 7-8% fee is a lot specifically when business is wholesale not retail. The problem is we have shopify store which by it self takes 2-3% fees for anything no matter what is it, add paypal fee and you get some 5-6% out.
Payoneer as far as I know is for international customers to pay you, you can't add it to shopify store as a regular payment processor.
I guess, we all should have as many payment option, not depend on paypal as the only payment.

Why don't you contact paypal and ask what you should do? They are the ones that would know.

You can try to ask your buyer to provide statement for proof that he has got the service.

I have never had this happen to me.

One time PayPal sent me an extra $1000 to my bank account, and I claimed it never got deposited. I had to provide false bank statements showing the money never hit the account, so they credited me the 1000$ and I walked away from PayPal with double the money.
