I'm growing my channel, but got a few restrictions on copyright claims due to background music. Haven't received any strike from Youtube yet. But will those restrictions affect its monetization in the future? Is deleting them enough?

Copyright Claims will NOT affect your monetization status. You are just not able to monetize the videos. You do not have to delete them.

Just delete them as you are risking your whole channel lost and they won't restore it if this happens.

Make them private, then take a last glance at the analytics of that video if there's something meaningful you can get from it; especially if it performed well before the claim. Once that analysis is done then just delete it or you can let it stay private.

Wise move! I have deleted a few as I freaked out but it would have been a good idea to follow this advice.

I wouldnt delete them. Copyright claims are okay. The copyright owners get paid. No one has any issues with it.

If those copyright claimed videos bring you view and subscribers, why delete them?

I dont find any reason to.

Big mistake, i did that too, it didnt end well
Not much, my channel got deleted.
Sorry to hear that bro, but I hadn't had this experience before with the channels I've worked on.
The only thing I see where your channel gets deleted is if you get more than 3 fast claims in a row and you didn't have the time to react to it. (e.g. private or delete it) Especially if the claim was manual; that I saw happening from some people.

So the problem is when these claims accumulate?

Privating videos is risky. I had only one strike ans i privated all the cooyrighted videos and then i got tetminated.
