Worth to take .com over .info ?

I took the tip that .info's rank just as easily as .com/.net/.org and registered one .net and two .info's around the same time (all keyword-matched). Used an automated process to get them all up and running and backlinked and guess what? After a month of getting lazy backlinks, the .net is ranked at 6th place for its primary keyword on Google while both .info's are hovering between 100th-200th place (for any keyword). :thumbsdow

Ouch, sucks, because I wanted to believe that .info's have equal chance (and I'm still trying -- $0.89 per domain hardly hurts) but from what I'm seeing so far, they must "earn" their rankings, albeit by some long-term whitehat tactics.

This just scares me to hell...
I have been buying .info domains since always...
Now this makes sense as to why I am struggling to get My Domains indexed well and PR pushed Up...

Flippa sells .INFO domains better? No. Flippa sells more businesses than site networks.

Just like tox said earlier, what people assume about TLDs often is pure bullshit. You _must_ be a fucking amateur to not notice that on flippa and in the real world, SEO isn't based upon imaginary "remember the .com bubble" sentiments. Stupid people call Internet Marketing "Online Marketing" and that's the only reason the browsers default to .com or .net with hotkeys when opening URLs is because those TLDs were first.

If you or anyone else is so unenlightened that you think that I can earn the same amount with 50 .COM domains as 500 .INFO domains, well that's going to be a hurdle for you.

If I put, say, my network of 500 .INFO sites on FLIPPA tomorrow after setting them up a week ago, earning $20 per day versus my network of 50 .COM sites making $2 per day, which do you think is actually going to sell, idiot? I may have to sell my .INFOs for less because there's more of them in comparison, but I won't make any more money with .COM sites. Are .COM TLD domains more familiar in the extension sense? Sure. Are they more brandable and sellable and easier to remember? Fuck yes!
Do they sell any better than .INFO domains or rank higher because they have the .COM TLD? Not at all. Do the .COM TLD sites sell better than the .INFO sites? Hell no. Do you see the .INFOs on Flippa? Some. Why? Because the guys who buy the good .INFO TLD domains to use as sites are still fucking making money with them. After 3 months you've paid for your whole network _no matter what the size of the network is_. For fucks sake, get a clue.

I know what you mean.. but NO .infos rank as good as .coms in terms of seo!
I'm just talking about the look of them.

I think that's because people who are serious about their site prefer .com's over .info's.

if you intend to create 50 small niche sites just for ads then why not try to create one quality site and concentrate on promoting it before creating your second one and so on? The result might be better this way I think.

So finally what is the conclusion, should we but .info or not, It seems .com or .net is better, but if the domain name we are looking for isn't available in .net & .com should we go for .info or look for some similar domain in .net and .com

i'd go with the dot com at a coupon rate - i know godaddy does bulk rates, so that will save you, but you usually want a private registration with something like this, name.com has been pretty good to me, and has free priv reg, 1and1 kinda is janky, but it is cheap at about 8.99 with free priv reg. if i were you and were buying that many, id swoop up a special coupon deal - just bookmark all of the major players and log in to each first thing in the morning, within a week someone is bound to have a one time only deal.
