Damn! 2 of my major site got a decline in traffic. around 35% in most of my sites! This number is same in all of them!

My site lost 40% of its traffic. Also, almost all of my competitors have lost 30-40% traffic according to Ahrefs & Semrush.
Weirdly enough the keyword where I was in the top 10 are not affected

I second this.

7 years old site with 250 RD. https://i.imgur.com/oE5q1B4.png Hit #1 on targeted keywords. No guest posts, no niche edit, no editorial links. Just PBN and high DR contextual links. 70% naked anchor text and 20% phrase match. Traffic is up.

And this is my one year old site with 20 RD https://i.imgur.com/b8jYx5k.png It's dance like crazy on page 1-2. It was stable on #1 before update. Again, just PBN and high DR contextual links. 90% naked anchor text. Traffic is stable.

Looking at my competitors, I have a feeling this update favors PBN backlinks!

I'm in the same boat mate, had a 4-year-old tech blog, worked hard on it every day ensuring that only QUALITY content was published. Was ranking well for most of my keywords but two nights ago most of them have come off completely.

I don't understand how Google can do this to a completely legit whitehat website, literally ruined everything I have... I put so much time and effort into this

Been so long time since I last visited this forum that I had to create a new account

Launched a new money site in Asia for 1,5 year ago, managed to get into the SERP before competitors and yesterday the volatility in rankings where reflected in the drop of sessions, as many others been stated it surely looks like the avg position doesn't correlate with imps+clicks, and it reminds me of the Bert update, only difference is that this time, the sessions are actually dropping.

Like many other contributors have pointed out, its to early to make any changes, just sit still in the boat..

It appears the Google Judge Click Workers in India hired to "assist" the Google "AI" have down voted us all, and upvoted their own new small trash sites.

I even see WireCutter dropped from page one to these sites from India.

But also - has no spammy links, 5000+ unique articles and less than 100 backlinks.
Quick maths tells us that content is still king.

If you have 5000+ pieces of original content and #1 positions in Google, don't you think you should have way more than 100 backlinks in 1 year? Because I think people find your content all the time and link back to you? Or am I wrong?

Still dancing with Google. I realise that there are new low domain authority websites emerging to the 1st page in my niche. I hope this is just temporary. My site is still ranking 1st place for my main keywords.

Check site 1 crawl rate has been go down in on 5th May

And traffic also lost since that day

Lets See site 2: increased crawl rate on 5th may

Now look into traffic

I think the first case would be inconclusive.the loss in traffic could be just noise. Now that is eye statistics.

Of those negatively impacted, do you notice a change in what google recommends as other relevant searches when you search for your keyword?
