Demonetized but still monetized

Hello BHW! Today I recieved a notification by YouTube saying "Unfortunately your channel was not approved for monetization". I have not applied for monetization recently and I have been monetized since June last year. Also, my channel is still monetized. What should I do? Should I just ignore the notification or should I take it seriously? Have this happened to you? Will my channel get demonetized? Please, I need answers.

Did you double check if the e-mail actually came from YT and not someone trying to scam you or get your data?

If you are still monetized then there is no problem I think.

No, it wasn't on e-mail. I found it on the my Channel Dashboard so it is legit. I don't know about that. They might demonetize my channel tomorrow, next week, next month, I don't know.

This has never happened to me. What is your channel about? Are you on camera, do you make compilations, do you use CC content? I wouldn’t say not to take it seriously until you notice you don’t receive any monthly payment.

I make YTP:s on TV shows. They are copyrighted, but I make sure that it is not copyright claimed on YouTube. I change its context and I edit them very much. If I don't receive monthly payment, what should I do?

When you get into that side of content creation on YouTube there is always a risk because the content you are using is copyrighted. Would you say your editing is good enough that the videos you make can be considered fair use? I’m not talking about some minor edits either. When you use videos like that you really have to transform the work and make it your own. You’re sure the copyright owner hasn’t claimed the earnings because the video can still be monetized but you just won’t receive any income from it. I’m not sure what exactly you can do if you don’t receive payment though because you stated you’re monetized but you got that email.

I know people who have had problems with their YouTube channels and tried to make some appeals go to the YouTube Reddit form for assistance. I’ve read some success there but like I said you should see if you receive or don’t receive any payment.

Many in my niche have been monetized for many years and they are doing the same as me. My editing on the videos are good enough to be monetized. The copyright owners can't claim or strike any of my videos and I am earning money from them. It was not an e-mail, it was a nofication on the Channel Dashboard and I am monetized.

I seen channels uploading copyright content and still going good till this day. I dont know why youtube isnt banning them yet
