You upload it as a video. Everything is exactly the same as video ads + you choose/upload a thumbnail.

Will definitely try this trick. Thanks for the share

Wish someone test this for quiz sites. I'd jump in if I could get $0.05 USA traffic.

Funny you said that. In the screenshots of CPC I posted, 80% of them are from quiz sites :)

You know it's impossible to fit enough text to image ads without detected by facebook and quiz ads has to contain lots of text to attract people.
Would you mind sharing one of your working ads on here or PM?

It's not true that you need a ton of text on the image to 'attract people', it's actually quite the opposite. I don't know where is the majority getting this type of info that is obviously not true.

You should focus on finding the best question you can ask fans for the quiz you have, and put that on the creative + find a good niche related gif. I usually put a short question on top of the gif - people will read that first, then check the gif, and the last check the description.

All my creatives are the same as an example I showed in this thread.

Do you face the problem that when you run the ads, it converts the gif to video type?

Never seen anyone talk about using gifs for fb ads will try this as I am starting to learn more on fb ads

FB can't convert gif to a video. The whole point of gif is that it interrupts the pattern with compressed images.

Yeah, there are no gurus talking about this yet. Maybe in 2021? :D

What is the different then just make a video ads which last 2-3 sec ? its not the same thing ?

  • [*]Create custom audiences for retargeting. Retarget them with an offer (CPA/email submits offers work great for entertainment niche. Probably don’t have to explain what to do with stores :D).

[*]Create Lookalike audiences, and narrow them down at the beginning with a general interest. + Don't forget to create LAA of visits, buyers, email subscribers, fan page likes, post/ads engagements, and show them some ads.

[*]Lock the content on blogs/quiz sites and collect emails/messenger subscribers.

Hello,

Many thanks for your great idea !! i am a newbie and i would like some help with the 03 points above.

- How can I create a custom audience to retarget ?
- How to create looklike audience ? What does LAA mean ?

Many thanks in advance !

Using GIFs with copyrighted content from a movie or a TV series will get you banned. It's clearly against FB policies. They might approve many ads before they do, but if your account gets into a thorough review good luck with that.

Also, any GIF is converted into MP4 is my assumption so there shouldn't be any difference between video and GIF.

My bet is that it's the GIF itself that attracts the clicks (like pretty much all the time content is king), but conversion will be very very low. My guess is that it's at 10% or lower.

Might be a good way of creating a custom audience, but you most probably have that one already available on facebook audience pool anyway.

Anyone tried and can confirm that something like this is working?
