There are a ton of myths about Facebook ads, so I made a short list of a few gems I had personally hear from friends and clients
→ You need to take XYZ courses and learn a ton before starting with the first campaign. If you feel like you are not ready, that’s probably true (my fav!
).
→ People don’t like seeing ads, so it’s not worth it for my business.
→ FB ads are only for B2C.
→ You get results only if you throw a ton of money in ads.
→ You can't run a conversion campaign with a brand new pixel.
→ It’s not worth to run PPE ads.
→ The relevance score is the most important metric. / You pay more for ads with a low relevance score.
→ Targeting a small, specific audience (less than 50k - laser targeting) works better.
→ Retargeting everyone on your list as one works best.
→ You can’t run ads with more than 20% text on the image. Your account will get banned if you do.
