Google bans Zoom video call app

Google banning the use of the Zoom Video call app to their employees for some security concerns over with government norms.

Is anybody using this app? Why is this ban?

Kinda misleading Titel you chose there

I have never used the app but I am a bit familiar with their "system". They collect Data that they process internally. And since Google has some extreme company policies (because they work on a lot of "secret" technologies), they banned it. I can't blame them if they want the secrets to stay in the company.

I have used it a few times, because it was a required by school. It has some security and privacy flaws like not having end to end encryption and more. You can google “Zoom security problems” to learn more.
For me it it isn’t a deal breaker as I don’t have/mention any information that can hurt me if leaked. For Google and other companies it probably is.
Also in my case I don’t really have a choice if a teacher requires it.

Yes there are many information about this ban on internet. I just want to know more about the Zoom Video App and what is the main reason behind this ban.. because many governments also banning to use this app!

Hackers being able to take control of mics and webcams, has nothing to do with privacy. It is an issue of security, not privacy.
