(NEWBIE method) that helped me make my first $$$ online

I re-read your post, it's actually brilliant and I want to start doing this in the near future. I would like to ast, since I'm from the Netherlands, which affiliate program did you use? And I will probably use marktplaats to gain the traffic. Please let me know

If you can find a way to target a uk uk or us audience instead of dutch audience i would 100% do that. The audience is way bigger and you will make more money. There is more competition but this does not really apply to you because you have lower prices than anyone else. Just make sure the afdiliate program can pay dutch users and you are able to register on the marketplace as a dutch person. You don't need yo worry about international shipping or anything so you can easily do this worldwide.

If you do want to target dutch customers, here is what I did.
I used the following
-bol.com for products and amazon (german and france, don't use us for obvious reasons)
-tweedehands as a marketplace and facebook
I tried kapazza and didn't have much succes. I think kapazza is no longer an active marketplace now.

You can also use ebay belgium or france if you want.

I would recommend you start searching yourself on google for "keyword + partnerprogramma". Check out their commision rates, product range and go from there!

Maybe there are some marketplaces for the netherlands specifically thar I do not know about. I think you have craigslist in the netherlands but I am not sure.

I did this a lot back in the day, and it worked extremely well. Curiously enough, I actually got a phone number from a single woman and she wanted to show her appreciation for her making a saving. I'll let you all decide how she wanted to do that ;)

Hmmmm... Maybe I should start doing this method again. Targeting IG models and teaching them how to save money :anyway:

Ok, so the price is cheaper as the dropshipper competition in the marketplace, buuuut: why would they buy from you if they can get it for the same Price on the retailers Website

Is it Because the People are only comparing prices on the Marketplaces and dont know about retailer price? That is why you can trick them into thinking the price has been reduced?

Great question.
Multiple reasons why
  • They don't know what retailer you got the item from, they are just interested in the product (this is why dropshipping works)
  • They don't know the retailer. If you use a niche retailer or an unknown one your client may not know it
  • You want to make them believe that the item is cheaper now than it used to be when you bought it.
  • People on those marketplaces are looking for second hand products because they are cheaper so they don't check online retailers
You said why would they buy from you. That is incorrect. I recommend you read the method again. They buy from the retailer but you get the commission for referring them. You are basically getting warm (that means the persin is already about to buy thz product) leads to the online retailers and getting paid for it. You are the AFFILIATE not the seller.

They want to buy from me because I am by far the cheapadt on the marketplace.
People are too lazy to go to google and cross check prices online. If they did, dropshipping would not work at all.

With some creativity this method can be used to promote anything.

Yeah Problem is that i sometimes think everyone is shopping like me going through discount forums, checking last prices with waybackmachine or how that Website is called again :p:D

Agreed. But physical products are best IMO to not get in trouble.
Maybe some online marketplaces allow digital products but this would take some trial and error to find out.
Oh, and a few accounts banned probably.

The majority of people buys things impulsively. Maybe that will change now due to coronavirus but that doesn't really matter. You only need to do the work when someone has shown interest or done an offer.

I think you can promote even phones (xioami has affiliate if i remember correctly)
Saying yea ive a used it but technically it s a brand new phone," just used 1-3 days" then put the price minimally higher than retailer's price, lower than marketplace competition and then say like
Ohh wow price got reduced and the phone is even new there!!!!

You got it, now get started!
Used or new, doesn't really matter. Just come across as trustworthy.
This method works well with items that are actually on sale aswell.
If don't know if I would recommend shipping from china though. A lot of customers think that chinese products are all aliexpress garbage. They might get put of by the fact that it is chinese or by the long shipping times. You don't want this to happen.
The marjet for western products and phones is big enough.

Just keep looking for products where you can lidt above retail price and STILL be cheaper than all the competition.

Why would they ban accs trying to sell digital Products?
I know with eBay this is the case because it is against the Terms Of Service.

It would make sense for marketplaces to do these because it is very unlikely that the creator is selling it himself. Modt of the people who do these are either doing it for a high profit margin or a fat affiliate commission. The seller can't send the product to the customer because it is digital. The transaction usually happens through the site of the creators which the marketplace have zero control over. It would be easy to get scammed doing this so it makes a lot of sense for marketplaces to ban these sellers. Marketplaces should be for new and used physical products where the buyer buys through the marketplace checkout system and is able to get full support.
