Hello to all members of BHW
I hope you all are safe and healthy
I have learned so many valuable things as a newbie from this forum and I wanted to give something
This method is how I made my first money online
Disclaimers
My name is JVRZ, an 18-year-old university student from Belgium who has the crazy dream of making money online because I want to be able to provide for myself and my family later on and be financially free, or less stressed about money at least.
I started off like many people I think: I saw an ad for a fake guru course to make 10k a month while you sleep. It was a "live webinar" full of BS and false promises and then the course was "1/3 of the price for 55 people who were ready to take action". I sprinted to my mom who was watching TV and I said
"Mom, I need your credit card to buy something online for 997 euro's, I will explain later"
She was so confused and said no (I'm thankful she did)
That day the make money online seed was planted in my brain.
Luckily, I have learned a lot since then (most of it here on BHW) and I am very thankful for that.
I haven't made much money yet but I am learning a lot and getting better (that stage could go on forever though
)
I am still suffering from shiny object syndrome (always looking for new methods and not sticking to one thing) but I guess that is pretty normal
Now let's get into the method
Introduction
I don't know what to call this method but it is a combination of e-commerce and affiliate marketing.
Step 1: Product research
Go to online webshops or retail sites like
then choose a product that is
If you want to use Amazon, I would go for the product categories that have high commissions (above 6%)
Do not list Vero items, they are trademarked and you will get accounts suspended.
Electronics are fine
Do not list digital products like courses or plugins and themes. Their commissions are nice but they are not worth getting your account suspended
When you chose this product, leave it open in another tab and prepare for step 2
Don't worry, you don't need to buy or drop ship the item.
You have to sign up to become an affiliate, this is pretty easy to do.
The only thing that is tricky is describing where your traffic comes from.
I would recommend selecting other but I haven't really found a way around this effectively.
If you have trouble getting accepted, do some google searches and try again.
Or go for a different store
There are literally thousands of sites you can use to get the items from just google "their name + affiliate program"
Step 2: list your product as an auction
Go to an online marketplace where you can create a listing for free
I recommend
List your product on these marketplaces (I recommend using multiple at a time)
If you don't know how to list a product, then go watch a youtube video so you can see it visually
You can use the stock photo from the retailer's site but I would recommend not doing that
try one of these methods
I wouldn't recommend doing a normal listing because people could see how many sales there have been, which is 0 because you don't actually complete the transaction
Auctions are perfect because you can set them to a long time and you don't give a "buy now" option
A little above works best because then they are tricked into believing that they save money and they will be more likely to buy
You can list the item as brand new or as used, doesn't really matter
Step 3: your first customer
Now you have found a product and created a nice looking AUCTION listing that is cheaper than the competition (mostly drop shippers) who need to calculate fees, profits,...
Someone sees your listing and sends you a message or does an offer for the listed item
Then you send them a message like this
Hi there John
I see you have interest in my (name of your item)
Unfortenately, someone has already purchased this item but I forgot to take down my listing
I bought my item from (retailers website) for (price higher than the actual retail price).
I just noticed that the price of the item has been reduced to (actual retail price you found for your product). You can buy it here if you still are interested (insert affiliate link for that product)
Cheers, have a good day

or
Hi Susan
I want you to know that the item comes from (retailers website) and I bought it for (not actual price, higher than actual price). Now the item that you are looking for is cheaper than when I bought it.
You can find it here: (insert affiliate link)
Let me know if you have any questions
(Your name
Or something like that, change it up and see what works for you.
Now you can either delete the listing or keep it up till other buyers show interest and then you do the same thing.
I would not recommend listing the item as sold because you haven't actually sold it and this may come across as suspicious. But then again, so is deleting all your auction listings probably
Step 4: Here comes the moneeeeeey
Hopefully, the customer clicks on your affiliate link and they purchase.
They usually will because the price is lower than your listing and much lower than all the competition who actually send them the item
When they do you get a commission for referring them to the product
And the best thing is that you usually also get a commission on everything they buy while the referral cookie is active in their browser.
With amazon, you get a percentage of everything they buy within 24 hours, and they are great at upselling so you will probably make more than just the commission from the item you listed.
The commissions usually range from 1 to 10% so that is why I like high ticket (expensive) items because you get a bigger commission and the buyer had the intention of spending that money anyway.
You can do this with many products at the same and on different marketplaces and from different online stores.
Why I like this method
I personally didn't bother doing this but these were some of the ideas I had
I don't know how likely it is that your marketplace or seller account will get banned so please don't use accounts that are important to you, you don't need sales history or good seller metrics for this method to work. Just post a lot of nice listings and you will get some $$$
Maybe some marketplaces do not allow you to send affiliate links in PM but I haven't ran into any trouble yet.
I hope this method was new and or valuable to some of you and that you make some money with it. Make sure to PayPal me my percentage when you do
Stay safe tomorrow, things will get wild!
I will definitely be joining the fun!
I hope you all are safe and healthy

Disclaimers
- This is not my method, I just added some twists to it but I didn't bother scaling it because I want to move on to something more serious and long term (hence why I am sharing this method)
- This method does require a bit of effort and brains to pull off effectively
- A lot of you will probably know this method but I wanted to share it for newbies (like myself)
- You can twist this method as much as you want, be creative and adapt to situations!
- Don't try this on accounts that are really important to you because you might get banned (I haven't but we will get into that later)
- A pc with an internet connection
- Brains
- A bit of social/selling skills (not really required but can help)

try one of these methods
- Search for noncopyrighted product images on google
- add watermarks or banners to the pictures (like drop shippers on eBay do, just search for an amazon item in eBay and you will find a lot of ideas
- Ask people in online forums to send you pictures of the product that they own in exchange for gift cards or PayPal money (best method but requires a little money, if you can offer them anything else like followers on their social media or anything else, that is even better)

Why I like this method
- Risk-free: you don't need to invest anything and you will not lose anything (besides maybe an account but those are free anyways)
- Ethical: you don't let the customers pay more for the products, you get the profit from the profit of the retailer
- Highly scalable (see below)
- Minimum skills required
- Competitive advantage because you can list the item at the same price as the retailer, dropshippers and other sellers can't do that
- You don't need to fulfill orders, do marketing or any of that stuff. You jsut refer them to their website and get paid if they purchase
I personally didn't bother doing this but these were some of the ideas I had
- More accounts to list more products and bid on your own auctions to make the product look more desired and create scarcity
- More products and more online marketplaces
- Automate listings and or messages using software (I know yaballe has these functions but I haven't used it yet)
- Go for higher commissions and try to refer as many people as possible. Look for the best retail affiliate program that has higher commissions and less competition
- Improve sales messages to make them more trustworthy
