United Kingdom Is Now On A Lockdown

Boris John just made a speech to the nation, to put it simple due to people not taking this seriously he has now put the entire of the United Kingdom on a lockdown where we can only go out of the household to buy essential food & medicine, 1 bit of exercise a day and you cannot be in groups of more than 2.

I disagree with @Flacko I don't think it is is essential and I would have preferred for more voluntary methods but that's ok because we are British and are able to disagree in a pleasant way - until the inevitable military coup

2. Closing non-essential shops and public spaces

As posted in the other thread it was designed to be a shock to give people a kick up the ass. What was said tonight is nothing that's not been said before it's just now format to try and scare people into taking action. Stay safe all.

80% of global population will get coronavirus regardless of whatever plan is enforced so the herd immunity plan was actually spot on - they just overestimated the amount of capacity we could muster up in a crisis.

Problem is herd immunity works when there is a vaccine in place.. As far as I'm aware there isn't? They hope to find someone who has developed antibodies for it naturally and then use them as a vaccine.

Hence why Boris & Co are still focused on anti body testing kits.

Tube is open for business as well as rail & bus all public transport.

Schools are closed but open to those who have a greater chance of catching it to help spread it further i.e rather than having a school with a 10% of the students (example) having the chance of picking it up at home you now have schools where 100% of the children have a chance of being exposed.

no this is a lie. There isn’t anyone that has a ‘greater chance of catching it’. Schools are only open for those children who have parents with essential roles in the NHS. You sound misinformed.
