Linkwheels - Post Your Successes and Failures Here!

I want to try something with my link wheel (well, as ull see, not really a `wheel`). I will describe it below, i was wondering if anyone could spot any potential weaknesses or flaws in this scheme to save me the trouble of finding out the hard way.

I have 19 sites which i want to put in a wheel, except i won`t connect it into an actual wheel, it`ll be more of a `line`. Then, i`ll have a couple sites within the `line` link to other sites within the `line` (to randomize), and then the crucial part, instead of having them all link to 1 money site, have about 3 money sites (related but different keywords) which i`ll link the sites in the line TO in an alternating manner (example: sites 1, 4, 7, 9.. in the line point to money site A, sites 2, 5, 8, 10.. in the line point to money site B, etc. )
Then, finally, i`ll have my money sites linked in a line. The reason I want to try this is because of what ive read here about link wheels possibly not working well if u dont get creative with them. Am I over-complicating things here or does this seem like a strong plan ?

I`m also planning to have half or more of my link wheel sites be actual sites, not just web 2.0 properties.

what do you think?

Is this a good idea? or is it better not to put all my link eggs in one basket?

let's say you're optimising your money site with the keyword "surround home theater system"

do you build your linkwheels with articles bout "surround home theater system" and linking back to your money site? if you do, will the web 2.0 properties outrank your main money page is SERPs?

or do you build your linkwheels with articles not relating to your money page but include a linkback to your money page with proper anchor text?

hope to get some clarification on this

It's better to build your linkwheel with articles related to your niche. It' may happend that the properties outrank the money sit, but :
- Usually after few weeks the money site end up on top of the properties
- If the article is well written, the user that visits the propertie will visit the money site eventually
- You can modify the propertie that rank the best to put a landing page (with aff links) on it.

can someone please give me some feedback on my post above (3 posts above)? Whether this mite be a good idea or if i should stick to something more like a traditional wheel.

Any thoughts, suggestions, feedback would be highly appreciated.

Go for it. I don't see any problems.

how do you get the web 2.0 properties indexed and keep them indexed ? because google has been really strict with the web 2.0 properties.

im debating as to whether i should try this new approach or go with a more traditional wheel (unclosed), have 2 wheels (10 sites each) with each wheel pointing to one money site (2 money sites total)

any feedback to push me in one direction vs. another??

My experience with linkwheels is that:

- Always use unique content.
- detailed keyword research.

#1 - NO SPUN CONTENT, . . . Content is King so you have to place your focus on providing search engines with quality content.

WRONG WRONG WRONG

Why do people put so much bullshit out there. We create a unique article (for matter scrap one from one the the top search results for the keyword you are targeting).

Rewrite it 3 times....spin the content 35%-40% uniqueness is fine.

Submit it to the various sites listed all over this forum.

I cant tell you how listing we own 7 or 8 of the top 10 listings for a given keyword

ALL USING SPUN CONTENT.....learn how to do it right

Are you guys using a sales page/landing page/capture page as your money site?

If I was focusing on 6 keywords is this what I would want to do?

makemoney.com
makemoney.com/1
makemoney.com/2
makemoney.com/3
makemoney.com/4
makemoney.com/5

Then build a linkwheel around each keyword. In this scenario would I need to use all different web 2.0 properties or would it be ok to use squidoo 1 time for each wheel?

Thanks for any input...

i sadly got slapped by google , the page rank for the site to which i done link wheeling dropped to Zero from Three :(

It's just our focus mate . . .

If you ask 30 SEMs about their strategy you get 30 different answers.

These days, we choose to provide Google the elements that we know will rank us at the top (Content) and from there we drill down to creating a web of quality authority sites around it.

Depending on your niche . . . go use spun content to rank for "buy viagra" or "used cars" and let me know how that worked out for you.

Geez, you don't even have to go thru the hassle of spinning your content for "buy viagra", i just iframe the landing page.

Actually we have a used car site doing very well....my problem is not with your technique.

My problem is you telling people people that they can not use spun content.

So do we mate...and we do it with spun content. I dont care that you think original content is the best (it is) been when you're submitting to 50 or 60 sites that makes it cost prohibitive for most people.

The problem is not the spun content but the effort put into spinning the content.

I see you have the best linkwheel service (is that based on JD Powers and Associates?)

Again...dont claim something until you can prove it......

Here are my thoughts.... Video Reply

edit...fixed the issue with the "Video Reply" url

Hey, thanks a lot for making the video response to my question. I really appreciate it.

You mentioned in the video that you have 4 stages. So I want to see if I understand this correctly.

Day 1: Send content to sites 1-6---these link to money site
Day 2: Send content to sites 7-12---these site link in random fashion to 1-6 & money site
Day 3: " " 13-18---these randomly link to sites 1-12 and money sites

Is this correct?

I'm in the process of developing a linkwheel software too.. thanks for all the advices, i've read this topic two times!
