A lot can be learnt from this journey as you are sharing everything in detail.
- Day: 16 (08/03)
- Followers: 10200+
- Total Videos: 30
Changes I made:
1) increasing frequency of posting to 4 times a day (recent TikTok algo changes have caused me to post more, as the system rates content differently than before)
2) had to manually adjust the account because a swarm of Indians started following me, and I don't want my following to be 99.99% Indians only.
How did I approach this?
I started manually following target accounts in US & EU (with high followback ratio, so only recently active in last 24 hours and within target group niche)
I'll continue to do this until my 'follower metrics' look more desirable.
Currently growing at 250-300 followers per day. It's decent, but I'm not satisfied with the results.
I will start looking into monetisation & conversions within the next 14 days for this first account.
On top of that: TikTok is making more and more changes. Although followers didn't matter that much before, it's becoming even more irrelevant.
It's almost going the complete opposite way of IG. Which is.. fascinating really.
Lastly:
I'll be launching a second niche account within the next week.
I know a thing or 2 about riding the algorithm wave all the way to the PROMISE LAND (printing money while you sleep).
This past month I have seen things in the social media world, specifically on TikTok, I didn't even know were possible.
@memes, @BestViralVidz, @FreeMemesStudios to name a few are growing at ungodly rates. IMO these accounts in particular seem to be favored by the TikTok algorithm over the hundreds of other "popular" meme/non-influencer accounts. I truly have not seen anything like it.
As of this week (@memes) is gaining an unheard of 200,000+ followers daily and trending upwards?? That is not a typo.
Anyone have an idea what these accounts are doing behind the scenes to achieve such insane growth?
Only thing I can think of:
1. They pulled the biggest mcgyver of our generation and literally solved the TikTok algorithm.
2. They blew a TikTok employee behind taco bell.
Both seem logically possible. WTF is going on with the TikTok algorithm?
Great work. May I ask, have you picked up on what the new algorithm changes are on how they rate/score videos?
And also, you say followers and becoming less and less important, how so?
Thanks
Quick update:
Account #3 will be launched next week. This account will be US-based.
Account #4 will be launched after that. This account will also be US-based.
1. Are any of these accounts going to be using non-original content?
2. What is the best strategy to follow on this type of accounts?
Love your ourney! So interesting to follow
I also grew my account to 38k in 2 months. Now however, i want to set up a new account too and have a question on how you set up yours.
1.) Do you set them up with sim cards or without? (just with email)
2.) Do you use real sim cards for the US or where do you buy them? I struggle finding one which also work in Europe
Why it is risky?I did non-original before but imo, it's just not worth the effort / the risk anymore.
