Creating An Affiliate Offer. I need help!

I've been doing affiliate marketing for years now so I'm accustomed to promoting other people's offers. But now I am creating a new forex trading platform and I want to act as publisher and I need to attract affiliates to promote my service.

I have ZERO experience in setting up an affiliate offer so I'm looking for any and all advice you can give me. Some of the questions I have are listed below, but I'd be happy with any advice you can give if you have experience in launching and running affiliate offers.

- how to choose an affiliate network?
- how to attract affiliates right from the launch of the service?
- basic mistakes people (or maybe you!) have made when launching an affiliate offer that should be avoided?
