Hey everyone thanks for the posts. I do want to add however that there have been a few questions posted that do not really make that much sense or that no one outside of pinterest can answer so please be sure to have common sense when posting a question as I have limited time for this at is it.

Also I notice a lot of people trying to pitch in, i would ask those people create AMA threads of their own if they think they have something to offer in terms of Pinterest content. I would hate to ask anyone to stop on the basis of thread hijacking and I'm sure people are wanting to help out. however if they feel they can answer questions I invite them to start their own threads as not to confuse any other members. Thank you.

I have had a lot of people reach out to me recently and ask to be introduced as experts on some of my ama threads just to increase their visibility and perceived experience in that given field to offer guides and services. Well that is not going to happen. if people are trying to tout their wears they can do it in their own threads. regardless of if someone is trying to sell something or make themselves look like an authority I would appreciate it if those peopel would create their own threads. I recently made a free hosted blog and a pinterest account, to test it out, I made some boards, and about 240 pin/repin from pinterest and images from other web pages on line , few images I made on canva and uploaded to Pinterest. and gave my blog address as main web address, and affiliate link on my blog page.
my questions is:

1-Could be a problem if I pin images from my photo sharing site or my dropbox /onedrive account directly, all the time?
since it is not related to my web address that is in my pinterest account.

Can I request that visitors entering the web site log in with chrome or opera? I want (Pinterest) viewer not to open. How can I do that?

I'm sure you can request it, if they do or not is another matter.

Hi @William702 - I'm new to Pinterest (background leans more to SEO) and am considering purchasing a website where 95% traffic comes from Pinterest (seller has 3 Pinterest accounts). I've setup a Pinterest business account to gain access to analytics and some understanding of what it offers, but what I can't seem to see is activity from the account owner (eg quantity/frequency of pinning).

My overall query is how can I 'audit' this Pinterest traffic and the effort level required to obtain it?

• Is there a way to see Activity from the account owner either via analytics or another method? (eg. how frequently an account pins etc?)
• Can an account owner provide 'read-only' access to Pinterest analytics? (similar to Google Analytics?)

Primarily, I'd like to understand how much time/effort the website owner is spending daily to get this traffic from Pinterest.

Any advice appreciated - thanks in advance

I dont think that is possible I'm afraid, but I am not 100% sure as I have not looked into it. You would have to reach out to the website owners in question to ask them what effort it takes.

Pinterest banned my domain due to spam policy but not my account. should I buy a new domain and replace it to my account or should I create a completely new account and domain?

I would replace both personally just to be safe.

My 2 recently created pinterest accounts(created on different days) were suspended.The suspension notification came as a result of following other accounts in the similar niche(followed 5 accounts max). The reasons they gave was, going against their spam policies.

Is there anyone who has come across this before?
1) Could they have thighen their algorithm and spam policies recently.
2) How do i avoid account suspension when following other accounts

It is possible you re trying to do too much too quick, if they are new accounts let them rest for a while, also you may not want to do the same actions from the same IP, I have never had a problem but it has been a while.

Share relevant content for that niche. This is the best way to grow an account on Pinterest. Impressions to clicks are always diabolical on Pinterest.

My advice would be dont. use other social media to drive traffic to pinterest but not the other way around.
pinterest is not known for traffic generation

I would sell invites to boards. that would be the fastest easiest way to make money from a standing start.

I don't see any traffic at all. It's oke because I am doing it for like 3 weeks, just were wondering even the pins from others get no clicks. Get some impressions here and there. So I read somewhere that you can create viral pins very fast. Doesn't look like it. Is it normal to see no results after 3 weeks?

How can I validate if I am in a good niche? I feel like the niche is too small and highly competitive.

Do I need like 5 new articles per week or can I create tons of pins for a small amout of blog articles?

Hello Op. I'm running ~90 Pinterest business accounts. I uploaded some t shirt design on Teespring and create some mockups.

How should I promote my t shirt on all my accounts effectively not get ban/ block?

I have some ideas but I'm not know what work best:
1- pin all mockups of entire store to 1 main account then other accounts repin
2- pin mockups randomly across all accounts then repin randomly
3- pin 1 product to 1 account then repins (1 account promote 1 single product of my store)
4- use some shortlink/rotate?? service then pin the new link on all my accounts

All accounts are random pin funny pics, repin inmy niche (dog) daily. I am not have my own domain on my store (the link is teespring.com/mystore/..)

Pinterest is a hard nut to crack but that is fairly normal. you need to be posting in the right places and getting exposure for your profile. there is no point making pins on an account and thinking they will do well with no other effort.

i find the best way is to trawl through peoples profiles and see what boards they are on.

It depends on the content, if the other persons content is shit that you are repining then it wont help. Content is king.

I have never operated that many accounts at one time. however having one main account you pin to and using the others to repin them may be your best option.
