Hey guys, maybe you can help me out. I am trying to become an Amazon Associate, but don't have a website currently.

I have some Telegram groups and channels though, with a few thousand members each. Inside these groups I would like to broadcast Amazon affiliate links through affiliate bots and link forwarding. Now I am wondering whether this is against the terms of service of Amazon (I have read somewhere that posting affiliate links inside telegram groups is against their ToS), and if so whether there is some workaround to my problem...

Do I need to make a website / landing page and add it to my list of websites inside Amazon Associates account settings to tell Amazon that the source my traffic comes from is a website, while at the same time broadcasting my affiliate links inside telegram but not telling Amazon I get traffic from these groups?

Or do you think it is impossible to promote links inside telegram groups without getting banned by Amazon? If so, are there any other good affiliate networks that let me put affiliate links inside telegram without getting banned?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Why are spamming the same copy and paste in multiple threads?

You have received the same answers elsewhere.

No, you cannot do this. If you get any sales in the short term, Amazon will ban your account before they pay you.

If you have a good source of traffic, as you say you do, send it to a website page not directly to Amazon. Amazon doesn't really care about the source or traffic to your website. They care about the source of traffic to Amazon that uses your special link.

If you send traffic to your website then use scripts or redirects to auto-forward the traffic to Amazon and activate the cookie, this will also get you banned for cookie stuffing.

There may be some black hat methods to get around this stuff but i doubt anyone will share it with you in the open.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I understand what you are saying. But I found a lot of telegram groups and channels with thousands of members and they are sharing affiliate links directly inside their groups. They must have been accepted by amazon in order to make money with these telegram groups...

There is even a passage inside the resource center of Amazon which states the following:

Telegram Channel/WhatsApp Broadcast: If you are primarily involved in offering deals and discounts, consider exploiting the power of Telegram Channels and Whatsapp Broadcasts to reach your users when they’re not on Facebook.

It is stated already. Your account will be banned.

Please come back here and tell us how it goes after you try for a while.

Good luck,

Yes I will get back to you if I manage to set everything up correctly. I have already contacted the Amazon staff and got some nice insights.

Thanks for all your input people!

Good luck everyone!

I wouldn't use anything with the amazon associates program except clean pure SEO and that's really it no matter what for whatever possible reason. Hopefully it will be changed later. I am not sure I understand this topic very well, but do not use all that stuff anyway.

Your answer really isn't satisfying. Just saying you do not understand the topic very well but saying you should use pure SEO and giving no reasons why is a bit strange tbh. ^^ thanks anyway

Didn't knew this. thanks for sharing.

Hi again, I am writing to you again because I got some question. If I manage that users click on my website / fb post url and then decide to click the amazon url without being auto-directed, this cannot be considered cookie stuffing right? I don't wanna do any cookie stuffing and I know it is not allowed to talk about it here. I just noticed abnormally high product clicks on my amazon links and I don't know where they come from. Is it possible that I unintentionally did cookie stuffing without knowing? Did you ever have abnormally high numbers of clicks on your affiliate products?

Its against amazon's TOS. They ban you for sure. Instead, create a website post an article with affiliate link then share that link on your telegram group. Or make a YT video about a product hare that YT URL into your telegram.

Yes, some telegram or whatsapp groups share amazon affiliate links directly, why they not banned is because traffic from telegram/whatsapp is not their primary source of traffic. Example : They may get 90% of traffic from SEO, YT and other social media platforms, just 10% maybe from chat groups.

Hi man,

Glad you answered my questions :)
Ok I made up my mind and will launch a landing page or some woocommerce site with my affiliate links first, then link to this page inside my telegram group. Guess it'll be safer this way.

What about the 10% of traffic they make with direct links, isn't amazon capable of crawling your links and knowing that these 10% come from telegram/whatsapp?

Do you know why I get abnormally high clicks on my affiliate links? Am I maybe unintentionally doing cookie stuffing?

All the best!

They may be in amazon affiliate for years, without any issues and generating huge volumes of sales. So, they don't mind 10% of traffic from telegram/whatsapp groups.

Abnormally high clicks? where you shared your links??
Note amazon associates don't differentiate clicks from a real person or from BOT's / crawlers. Example: As soon as you share your link on YouTube you can see 10 to 15 clicks on amazon dashboard, they are from YouTube crawlers, not from humans.

Hi there,

have been applying for the Amazon Associates Program but got rejected. They didn't mention any fake clicks though, I think I just didn't have enough followers ^^.

Right now I am posting links only on my fb page. Have been thinking it might be something like crawlers that account for high amount of clicks.

Will try to get into the program again. Hope I make it this time, already sold more than 20 products in a few days.
