how someone can grow a channel, that is for example about horror or scary stories?

Because I think there is a smaller opportunity to grow this type of channel by optimizing for search.. Or I'm wrong? And from where are this guys are getting ideas for youtube videos?

How someone can grow something similar? Can you share some advice?

These type of channel have own userbase. But I personally believe its time-wasting on these type of channel

Not sure about the volume of search traffic, but most of those channels that offer original content get large amounts of views from suggested traffic.
