Hi,

If a backlink in another site is pointing to my website with a parameter "rel=nofollow", will the backlink still do it's job and pass on some link juice, even if it's a nofollow?

Thanks

used to ask before, some claim good mixture of follow and non follow. Now I actually not say bother on this.

It doesn't do much, but it's not worthless. If you can choose, always take do-follow.

I think it has same value as do follow if the site (on which it is published) authority is good.

Thank you for all your inputs.

But i would like to know what impact does nofollow has, can it help a bit with the backlinking ?

It adds diversity into your backlinks portfolio, watch only that those websites are not spammy or from adult industry and you'll be fine.

A do-follow link is always preferred, but that does not mean a no-follow link is of no value. No-follow links are natural and when they are linked back to you website using branded or naked URL they help to dilute your keyword anchors.

A no-follow link will not pass authority or "link juice". But it is still of value to you websites backlink profile.

Yes it will ..but no as effective as Do Follow. It depends on the metrics of the other site.

So they are useful in some way after all, not a complete waste :)

I appreciate your advice and recommendations, will surely keep that in mind !

It is mandatory that creating back links must include do follow and no follow. No Follow is also good, Dont worry.

Short answer: yes, it will. How much? It depends. Actually, it's not known. We don't know for sure how much they help but they do help.

No follow links didn't pass a link juice, so do-follow links will be the best.

do follow carry higher weight and no follow do carry lighter weight...
Mixture is good.

For me, no matter what kind of back link, is a back link.

Build as relavant as possible.

Do follow is good, compared with no follow, because no-follow links won't pass any link juice to your site, but it will improve the quality of your site and also it will increase the backlink counts...

yes, Backlinks remain a crucial factor for organic search ranking. According to Brian Dean of Backlinko, the number of referring domains is one of Google's most important ranking factors. The more total referencing domains a site has, the higher the site ranking is on Google.Nofollow links don't allow search engine bots to follow your links. These links don't pass on link juice
