It's a pretty website, at least.
Omg there you are again with your 20,000 - 90,0000 the media is exaggerating. You believe everything you read on the internet? Now if you love being ripped off by all means I'll build you a website just like that in your own image if you'd like to commission me for £20,000 - £90,000.

I've worked for an agency, I know they charge high rates. Why do you think I got so engaged in this thread in the first place? If you're not an agency OBVIOUSLY you can't charge the same rates. They have designers and developers each specializing in their own field, these people need to get paid. You've clearly never had to pay employees before.
I help run my father's house painting/decoration business. We have to pay 4000€+/mo for each of our employees (worst part, they only receive about 2000€ of that, bc taxes and social security). Obviously our prices are HIGH. Which is why we only work with big hotels. No one would want to hire us to do their house, obviously.
Can anyone paint a house? Of course! But do they have the training necessary? How about color advice? KNOWLEDGE ABOUT QUALITY PAINT? Installing crown molding? etc etc.
You can also hire a regular self-employed painter here for 20-35€/h but they are all around painters and not specialized in any type of field.
This is the exact same, your team of developers and designers need to be paid. Of course, you can hire a freelancer, but it's not the same.
And if a brand or entity has the money to invest in PROPER web design from the ground up, why wouldn't they? 20,000$ is a nice tax write off.
Rich clients are perfect. But finding them is very hard.
The higher the price on a service, the more likely they'll buy, just to be sure that it's "the best" service provider out there. That's their mindset.
This true my BiL was asked to quote for some media firm in London so they did the quote, added a big chunk on, thought about it, doubled that price and then added some more on.
£6K - £8K website - he quoted over £80K.
Didn't get the job because it was a lot cheaper than the firm they chose, so they were worried about the quality.
People based decisions off comparisons. See this video for perfect example:
Sherlock hacks google going to be $20,000 after this.
Either way my point was they have fuck you money
I read in some newspaper not too long ago Harry had some 25$ million mostly from inheritance from his Mother.
I don't get the whole deal as to the hierarchy, royals, the reason for the royals and all that (and it is none of my business either) there but that is real money.
10K or whatever on a website is relative to the cost of a cup of coffee for me and I get a senior discount at almost any restaurant where I would have one.
What little I know about him makes me think he is a good guy and I hope him and his wife do well and I am sure they will.
