Hey guys, I've been in this forum for a while now and I've earned 220 dollars in 2 years of big online work. It's very small but I've learnt a lot from it. I'm going to outline a few key points.

First of all, I've tried many things such as blogging, smma, affiliate marketing and all the hyped up stuff but what gave me money is web design/140dollars and beatmaking/80dollars.

I'd like to give you guys an insight on why I didn't earn AT LEAST 1000dollars more :

FOR WEB DESIGN:
I am just not skilled enough! I was able to get a client as freelancer but I was so happy and unexperienced that I decided to take the project for 140dollars.
I ended up finishing the website in 5 months because the client wanted something extraordinary that I've never done before but I was like 'yeah I can do it!'. If I were skilled enough, I sincerely believe I could have finished that project in 1 month. I even got help to finish it up from a guy that studied web design in school but I was even better than him.

* ve promised to myself to get better because with what happened, I don't have the confidence to take on new projects for clients. I'm practising first. If I get good, I will have work flooding to me because Computer professionals absolutely suck in my country , Benin in Africa.

FOR BEATMAKING:
I viewed tons and tons of YouTube videos on how to make beats and promote them. I eventually got fairly good and also grinded hard to get rappers to know me.

* lost at least 500 dollars from different artists because of my location. They wanted to send me money but paypal or cashapp doesn't work in Benin and most of them don't want to go through Western union or BTC. I got the 80dollars because I recently decided to give the paypal adress of a friend in USA; so that my friend will later send me the money by Western Union. I haven't touched that money yet.

I've found a way of getting paypal money in Benin, I'm about to test it. If that works, it will be awesome.

ANOTHER MAIN REASON why I didn't make enough money is that my attention was divided between web design, beatmaking, selling shoes, selling phones locally, going to my internship...etc. I didn't choose ONE thing to concentrate on and strive. This is a big problem when you wanna get money, I have the shinny object syndrome.

Summary of the things I should do now and you should do if you're like me:
- Get skilled enough in the service you wanna offer.
- Don't let your location kill you, find solutions, if there is none, try to go elsewhere. Even the internet speed here is devilish, 30kb/s . I assure you it's very slow. I just don't have the money and courage to go to a better nearby country, although I'm already a grown up 23 years old guy.
- Concentrate on few things
- STRIVE

Please I'd like to get insight on other people's experinece in the comments whether you're making a lot of dough or just starting to get a little money like me.

220 dollars in 2 years is absolutely nothing. It's kinda sad, to be honest. If you wrote this yourself that means you can write. Improve a little and start offering content and copy writing services. You'll earn a lot more than that.

I know it's absolutely nothing, I've not considered writing yet but I think I can get into that.

Good luck bro KEEP GOING :D
Thanks man

Not an issue a member I know here @royserpa used to be in the same shoes as you but hes killing it now!
That's cooooll

220 dollars in two years is nothing to brag about honestly
I said 'It's very small but I've learnt a lot from it'.

You got $220 + a lot of experience mate! Don't give up, and stick with web design & beat making! Wish you all the best ;)

Says the person trying to spam some crappy method.....

OP, everyone starts somewhere and if your country's average wage is $50k a year, this is a drop in the ocean. If the annual wage average is $2k a year, you're on the right path.

hello, 220 dollars in two years seem to be nothing but is it a lot of money in Benin Africa ?

Yeah; spot on. It's around 2k dollars a year

Life in New Benin is at least 7 times cheaper than in USA but even in Benin 220 dollars is not enough to live 4 months

Really proud of you! Making money online is definitely not an easy task and although some people may belittle you, it is definitely something to be proud of. The experience alone that you earned in those two years is worth a lot! Keep at it :)

Thanks for the encouragement!

so you basically earned an average of 0.30136986301 per day. Still better than people trying to find the perfect method and doing nothing.
haha yeah, that's it!

This means the dollar is worth a lot in your region.

You don't need to make as much as others in the West to make a killing.

Keep focused, work hard and you'll make $$$ and impress everyone in your area.

Good going op it’s nice to prove to yourself you can actually make money online however small

I hope you know master a skill set from this and kill it

I hope for your sake you're either a minor or have a main source of income because that $220 probably wouldn't even cover the 'cost' of inflation. Let alone any expenses.

$220 in 2 years is absolutely shit. Reading your post, I could see that your english is really good. I believe you just were in the wrong field. Why don't you try content writing/copywriting and maybe start your own agency? Those services pay quite a lot when you start working for big people/organizations/companies.

But on the plus side at least you won't have to pay income tax on it :D
