Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

The only thing that's indexed now is my homepage, a page I 301'd a month ago and one post lol

Focusing build new site is also hard to get index, really
I never been this confused lol
I started new website around 2 weeks ago but my page was indexed almost instantly with GSC.
Today I also tried to index one post from my hit website with GSC and it was indexed, and also now my sitemap with Yoast are correctly read and updated, so the problem now is with the rank lost :/

Not sure about that, all I recall from this thread is people keeping reindexing their posts, no one shared their experience with changing content, in fact, they killed that idea right from the start saying their content is the best. At least we know that bulkaddurl works well as the posts are indexed fast, the fact that they are deindexed a few days later is another story. And changing a website theme, update WordPress, change sitemap plugin has nothing to do with it.

One of my sites got hit in the update and it's now around page 3 in the SERPs. As a test, I massively updated one of the pages. After I updated and reindexed on GSC, the page gained some ranking for other KWs that I was tracking for the site but the page has nothing to do with. After a few days, those rankings disappeared.

Note that for this keyword, since the update, there is now a PBN on page 1 and crappy e-commerce sites built on expired domains. So I would say Google seems to be pretty messed up for certain KWs. The big keywords e.g. Amazon stuff, seem to be just fine. I have sites ranking for those KWs as normal.

So it's obvious that they have done something to the way content is indexed. If you keep losing pages from index your website might be caught up in that filter.

While this may be the case for some people, I have a site that is still dancing around in the serps quite a bit. One day it will be in the mid 20s. It will stay there for a few days and then vanish for a few days only to come back again. All with me making zero changes to it. If it were a quality of content issue, I'd expect its rankings to tank and not recover unless I changed things around somehow.

Just to add to my previous comment, here is the video when Garry explains (in English) when keywords on a page and when anchor text is important as a ranking factor depending on a scenario.

Although he didn't say it but if you overdo it you're heading for a disaster.

This happens when they do a multi-level update and not all the algos agree with each other, I could take a few more weeks before everything settles down.

thank you, but why I still see a lot of thin content and spammy sites that indexed and ranked very well ?

I even take notes some of my competitor (since 16th jan) about their index and ranks, they all going up ? :D

I don't know why, but if you want to make your point reply to his tweet with an example to prove him wrong that shit still ranks well and good websites with good content are being penalized with his shift filter. Anyone affected by this should tweet him back to make a point and open his eyes to what's really going in SERP.

And I'm not talking about snitching on your competition, I'm talking about pure garbage that ranks well.

yeah exactly.
I think Google is still working on their updates tho, I don't think its finished yet. because one of my new site today they got indexed pretty massively (without me submitting inspection tools) and organic traffic starts to flow.
I hope this will stay :|

Today in webmaster sitemap I saw that I had 0 url submitted (with successful sitemap recovered). I switched to Yoast sitemap and now all my urls are correctly read and updated.

What do you mean "sitemap recovered"?

Do you manage to inspect the sitemap when you click on it? I mean, you see the URLs in it?

I mean that my sitemap was successfully read and recovered but with 0 urls. Now I switched to yoast and it seems ok

are you sure the issue is on sitemap? I mean the whole indexing and ranking thing..
I don't know this, I changed my sitemap plugin, added content to my posts, restyling my website and added new post. Now I'm waiting
