Can any competitor destroy our youtube channel using negative SEO?

The spam links don't seem to affect the channel much, so I don't bother about them. Can the free views platforms, SMM panels etc give spam signals to Youtube?

Most youtube channels get banned because of copyright/guidelines strikes or reports from other users. Are we safe if we take care of these 2 things? What else should we closely observe to avoid ban?

A competitor can send massive dislike or very poor view quality to try to destroy a video or channel reputation. Dislike seems to be very powerful to destroy a channel's reputation and daily views. You talk about Youtube SEO, you mean the optimization of your channel in the search engine or directly inside Youtube?

If your channel has copyrighted content or anything that can lead to a ban, you just can't do anything to avoid a ban. The strike can come from Youtube bot or directly from user reports (I saw people on micro job platform asking for mass strike report). Anyway, the only way to avoid a ban is to change your content according to the Youtube guideline.

I mean optimization inside youtube. There are not many articles about Youtube negative SEO but I found a few posts similar to this. Sending <5 seconds views, dislikes etc tend to reduce user engagement. Thanks for confirming the same. Unlike disavow tool of GSC, Youtube has no option to reject views. So, I think we can't do anything about them.

this is the same doubt i had of whether competitor could get u banned and when i asked this question they deleted my thread even though it was a doubt, then how are we supposed to know? competitor can send fake views to destroy our channel

BHW has many restrictions about what is allowed to post. If they suspect that you're trying to know about illegal methods, they don't allow threads or comments. This is also the reason why we don't find many threads about negative SEO here. They probably thought that you're asking about how to destroy a competitor using negative SEO. I've proofread the thread twice before posting because I needed this info for competitive niches and don't want to get my thread deleted. I couldn't find much info about "Youtube negative SEO" on Google either because this is not explicitly talked about anywhere.

It's really hard to do this. Likes and dislikes count as engagement and can actually help YouTube seo. The only things YouTube hates are a lack of views on videos, or short video views. I'm sure pogo sticking works the same as with Google.

This thread is helping me understand many new concepts. I used to think pogo sticking same as high bounce rate but found that they are different. Regarding likes and dislikes, I've read at many places that likes to dislikes ratio is a ranking factor and Youtube labels the high dislikes videos as misleading which is same as high bounce rate due to click-bait thumbnail.

Are we talking about ranking on Google or youtube? Two different algorithms.

Sorry I was talking about Youtube but written Google by mistake. I will edit it.
