www. vs non www quize

recently i change the domain name from www to non www
but in majestic showing 14 TF with www 12TF With non www
it will effect my whole seo ?
message from majestic 'Would you like to switch to the entire *****.com domain? There are **** external backlinks.'

If you properly 301 redirect the www to the non www it shouldn't matter is what I would think as it will pass the juice and traffic to the preffered domain

Why did you do it in the first place? Anyway as the user above me said do proper 301 and make sure everything works well.

Don’t get too caught up on third party metrics. As long as you have one redirected to the other, it’s no issue; all backlinks are pointing to your site and giving it power, regardless of whether they link to www or non-www.

I only ask because I once made a mistake with htaccess when changing everything to https://www. The end result was an broken redirection which completely killed my SEO rankings and my traffic was destroyed. Took almost 12 months to recover.

I would do a 301 redirect checker online and make sure everything is now pointing to https://yourdomain, otherwise Google will treat them as two seperate sites and your rankings may suffer.
