How to use plugins if I don't have access to my web code?

I want to install a live chat on my website but I don't have access to the code so I don't know how can I do it. I don't know about programing so I need some help. I know a guy who did it, so I know it is possible.
Maybe I can copy the website to other domain or something like that, or I can do it with my domain dns, I don't know.

What type of website do you have? What type of hosting?

If it's WordPress you can add plugins and code snippets from WP Admin. If it's not WordPress or a CRM system that allows snippets through an admin area, if you have access to a hosting control panel you can add code snippets through FTP or the hosting control panel.

It's not wordpress, it's a premade website where I only can change texts, images, etc. I only have access to the domain, I can change the domain but I don't know if I can change the hosting.

If you can change text than you might be able to add code snippets. Go to a YouTube video and click on Share, Embed and try to add the embed code onto the site. Or just find a live chat provider and test with their code.

If you can only add code on a page per page basis you might have to add it to every page manually.

Can I install plugins if I have access to the domain? If yes, how can I do it with godaddy?

Is GoDaddy also your webhost? If they are you'd have to do what I mentioned above. Either way what I mentioned above is really the only way. You can't add a chat from the domain registrar level, it has to be at the hosting level.
