If I post someone's content on my youtube channel and don't monetize those videos which I don't own and also post my own videos (like 1 video in a week or 2 weeks) and monetize these only.

Would youtube still demonetize my channel for reused content?

Yeah, they'll still do it so you minus well monetize everything on your channel. It takes a while for YouTube to demonetize your channel so just make all of the money off of it that you can.

I would also consider separating your original content from your reused content. Put your original content on a separate channel so that you never have to worry about getting demonetized on that one.

Put all of your reused content on a different one and what I usually do is I buy a monetized channel so that it's already monetized and I make the money from the reused content on that one until the day YouTube demonetizes it.

I'm not totally sure but its definitely like months down the road at a minimum, none of my past channels since they started demonetizing in 2018 were checked within weeks or even below 2-3 months. I believe it takes in most cases close to a half of year but it's different for everybody's case some are sooner, later, or luckily not touched at all. This one guy showed a bunch of channels in his videos that were never demonetized at all and they were using reused content for years.
