Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

my adult sites lost all their #1 rankings on keywords it has been ranking for 3 years straight. F*ing annoying, down to mostly #3-12.

Btw, a decade ago i quit dating & finance niche (as income was very fluctuating due to high costs) to almost fully adult sites (good pay and much more honest than regular affiliate marketing companies)

same situation for me. Although following competitors. Some hits, some not.

Did you build on expired domains or used any 301 ?

Anyone has thoughts also that it was targeting expired domains?

Seem like expired domains are the target this time. One of my expired domain site got hit hard too, the rest are fine.

So it seems. But not all. I would say Expired + niche related to adult/gaming/gambling/health etc etc
1st expired domains got hit in games niche, 2nd expired domain is alive
another expired domain in software niche got hit

What content did you put on them? Auto generated? Spin? Quality content?

This is a very small news site of mine over the last 48 hours. A rush of organic traffic (for me) then it dropped off a cliff.

I think it’s not targeting only expired domains. Because it didn’t hit some of my sites which are built on expired domains. But some expired ones got hit though.

Do you have an example of non-expired domain that is hit?

My domains where non-expired domains, and also got hit. Some got hit some did not. I suggest: Do not touch your website until we know more.

I saw the complete opposite. For the first time ever im ranking for top money keywords in position #1 early first week of Dec, almost all rankings saw 30% boost.

Whatever google did, keep it up!

Curious as to what strategy you used.

Mind sharing? :)

Mine is a fresh domain, never registered before. Still got hit. So I don't think the update is targeting expired domains only. I'll keep following without touching anything.
