My first dropshipping store - failed

Or the product is not good for dropshipping. Your site style look like Gabriel St-Germain's site. He made 600k and you made nothing. Lol

Not much point in tweaking the site if the ads are performing poorly. Product testing is essential and that's why I'm not a fan of one product shops before determining you have a winning product. But at this point I guess you could try changing your ad copy and audiences.

what was your daily budget for 6 days?
I am also struggling to get sales after watching fatchett tutorial. but now what I see, it needs too much money for ads on facebook. I have tried different type of ads for sales but no luck.
My budget was 10$ per day, but as it seems it is waaay to little.. so will have to give it another go.. Do you follow any other courses? seems like they get outdated quite quickly so I'm not sure what to follow but would definitely want to follow some step by step instructions..

I only have one question: Did you stack your targeting? As in; they have to like X and also X, and also X? (3+ levels deep in targeting if that makes sense)

Yes I did stack up my targeting: dog lovers and interested in dog training and must also like cats and be interested in a dog magazine titles > size of the audience 12 million.
Any recommendations for better ways to do it appreciated! :)

Jeez...is that what he says in the course??
1) No need for ppe campaign , you got some like on your page, that 's it, it's enough, you didn't have to do it in the first place.
2) For testing try this: CBO campaign 100$/per day - 5 adsets min spend 10$ each target e-packet countries english all, different broad interest of 10 millions + for each ad sets with auto placements - in each adset 3 creatives with differents 3 sec intro.
Run for at least 2 days, then start killing underperforming ads. Look at CPC, CTR, AV, CPM and cost per VC, ATC, etc..
Dup and double the budget on profitable ad sets, if nothing is profitable, change creatives and start over.

Don't be afraid to spend money. In the first few days, you will usually not be profitable, just focus on acquiring data and train your pixel.

Why would you recommend using autoplacements? Asking out of curiosity because in the course I'm following he actually advised quite strongly agains it

As I said before, the course is outdated and the fact that they advise against using it is proof. Let me guess, in the course, they say that you should only use facebook and Instagram feed? Yeah well not anymore. The reason why you want to use auto is because the Facebook algorithm has improved a lot, it is actually really good at figuring out what is the best placement for your ad automatically. When using auto you will decrease the cpm thus spending less money for more results. Of course, after you let it run for a few days you could look at what platform performed better and reoptimize the ad for that particular platform later on but for the testing phase, you should always let facebook decide what is best.

You have not failed that pure bullshit, what you have done is gained a lot of experience in designing a shop and putting it all together.

Forget the word failure, keep at it and start to promote hard on FB, the pet niche is huge and I am sure you can sell anything.

you just need to convince the traffic the product solves an issue.

start writing what your product can do to solve an issue.

then go deep into an illness that could happen but could not happen if you use your product.

you got to make the traffic think your product will solve an issue.

you can do this with just a dog bone

trust me what I say .....

please use the plugins as suggested above will help a lot ( if money an issue just use
free accounts with proxies . or an alternative.))

gd luck.

Terrible scroll stopper, bad product presentation, bad ad copy, etc... overall just bad... You must really have a low CTR with these ads...

Yeah, he recommended FB feed and articles and yes the reasoning behind it was exactly that: that automatic placements and algorithm are not that optimised. Thanks for pointing this out to me!

Thank you for your kind comment, yeah I decided i will not give up on this, need to find more updated resources, study and start again/ or refine my strategy with the current shop! :) Earning online income has always been my biggest goal so I can live the life I want and where I want.

Thank you for backing me up, yeah everyone was a beginner at one point so I guess it's always a matter of trial and error at the initial stages! .... I'm not a guy though, i'm a girl ;)

This failure has taught many things not just to you but to all of us who are new.

That actually sounds close to something I used to do. The problem I think is the fact that you don't target people that have dogs with anxiety, which your product is about; and I think that's a hard one to target.

One tip is to make one extra layer about "online shoppers" only, to make sure they actually spend money online. Other than that, I'd recommend trying other products that are easier to laser target.

redesign your store
install facebook pixel helper
focus on audience behavior
