Adsense Low earnings

My website gets around 1k hits per day. But my earnings don't exceed a few dollars a day. Similar competing sites earn much higher rates. What could be the reason for my low earnings?

Adsense pin : I'm waiting for Pin to come to my address yet
Ad unit: Automatic Ads
Ad visibility: Sometimes appearing, sometimes not

how were you able to know what similar competing sites earn?

its normal 1k is nothing with adsense its not cpa offers, back in 2016 when i been using adsense my site was getting 20k to 40k daily hits mostly usa and my earning was 100USD to 160 USD daily

may I ask your adsense account country? because for each country cpc rate is different. you can search in google to find out more about this.

AdSense has lowest rates on the market, and it is pretty hard to bank just with the AdSense if the site is new and has low traffic.

I agree with @Purush. May I know why are you using auto ads in the first place? Manual ads placements and experiments are something that I'll always recommend. Anyway, what's your niche? I can suggest a few placements what's working for me.

Adsense really sweeps low these days. Combine with different ad networks to maximize the revenue.
