What's up, guys. It's Focused. You may have heard about me from my previous thread, on how I made $57,938 from one YouTube video.

Anyways, I want to share a few tips. I've been running some affiliate websites and blogs for about 4-5 years now, and I think a lot of people approach it with the wrong mindset.
The first thing you need to realize, is that this isn't a "get rich quick scheme."
Anyone who tells you otherwise is just trying to get your money. Yes, you will have rapid explosions of traffic and wealth, but these HAPPEN after YEARS of practice and learning.
It seems like someone might "get rich quick" from the outside, because you're not seeing the years of effort they put in, to PREPARE themselves for it, beforehand.
Here's what my SEO career looked like, for reference:
By that point, I'd made ALL THE MISTAKES you could possibly make, so I knew exactly what to do, and exactly what not to do.
An outsider looking in might think I got "lucky" or might think that going from $0.00 to $16,000/month is possible in under a year, but it's only possible if you have the experience to know how to do it.
The second thing you should realize, is SEO is about the long game.
Yes, there's such a thing as churn and burn, and yes, there is such a thing as getting results fast, but in general, SEO is probably going to take 3-6 months (at LEAST) before you start seeing results.
I barely got any traffic my entire first year. Admittedly, this was because I didn't know what I was doing, but still - even after 100+ posts and quite a few back links, I was getting like 100 views per day.
Unless you're buying expired domains, you're likely not going to see results fast. And even then, you will probably have to buy 5-6 expired domains, and TEST them, before you really figure out how to do it properly.
All of this shit takes work. It doesn't happen overnight. Don't get disappointed if you're not making millions after a year of blogging or something.
The third thing you should realize, is you have ZERO competition.
Like I said, I've been at this game for half a decade now, and the one thing I've noticed is this...
99% of your competition will quit after a year.
Why? It's probably for a number of reasons:
There's a quote I really like, and it goes like this...
"If you stand by the river long enough, you will see the dead bodies of your enemies float by."
I don't know who said that, but it's 100% true. Over the past several years, I've seen guys into SEO, blogging, YouTube, etc., quit even though they claimed they had these huge aspirations.
Simply staying in the game long enough is 99% of the battle. This reminds me of a story, actually.
I remember when I used to have a shitty job as an Uber driver, I saw some guy roll up next to me in a Lamborghini Aventador. I rolled down my window and asked him:
"What's your #1 secret to success?"
He laughed, and told me:
"Persistence."
And that right there, my friends, is 90% of the game.
