Yeah, I'd expect a resounding 'Yes' on BHW. We're here to make more $$$$ anyway.

But it's interesting to read some of these other opinions. One from Zuck as well.

“Billionaires should not exist,” Senator Bernie Sanders said last month. “Senator Sanders is right,” said Tom Steyer, a businessman from California who happened to be the only billionaire onstage that night (as far as we know).

Zuckerberg said “I don’t know that I have an exact threshold on what amount of money someone should have,” he said in live-streamed question-and-answer session with company employees in early October. “But on some level, no one deserves to have that much money.”

If you worked for it, or even inherited that wealth, then why not?

Sure that's a ridiculous amount of money to have and I think most of them are greedy and do the bare minimum when it comes to helping the less fortunate, but I don't agree with the idea there should be a cap on how much one person can earn/have.

I thought it would be a clean 100% Yes. But looks like 25% disagree. Would love to hear views from the other side as well.

As an entrepreneur and BUILDER, my answer is an absolute YES

Most billionaires EARNED their money

This means they produced VALUE others want to get the MONEY they have

Besides, if you build something and RISKED a lot, you should get a NICE RETURN of all that time and effort

Lol yes they should, no one should be telling anyone else how much they should have.

Otherwise you just support theft

There are dirt poor peopl eout there who might say you dont deserve your money, so if you support the OP, start leading by example and giving yours away.

Truth is though everyone supporting it will only support it in that it applies to people who have more money then them, they wont support taking away their own money. And if they did, well they are free to donate it. SO either you are a hypocrite for not donating your money or youre selfish/emotioanlly illogical in that you think the rule doesnt apply to you

Even if they didnt earn it, its theirs.

If I make a billion dollars its mine, and if i decide to give it to my dumbass kids, thats my decision to make, no one else has a say

People that don't think billionaires should exist are just sour losers.

Every major company that makes your life easier amazon, apple, (fuck apple) netflix etc, is because of billionaires. Economies are held up by billionaires and their ability to create jobs.

It's a sad day on earth if we are debating if people with a lot of money based on their hard work and dedication should exist, that type of talk doesn't make me want to go out and do things, what's the point if not to make a fuck load of money and to be free from the rat race.

No not until I am in the list XD Working my ass of to get my net worth to millions >.<" after first few million its compounding effect

I think its much more a question of moral. I don't think Bill Gates gives a fuck if he got 500 million dollar or 50 billion dollar. At some point it doesn't matter any more. You won't see any difference. You already got everything and you can get anything you want.

What always fascinates me is: People say "I wanna be a millionaire or billionaire too", but do you guys think Bill Gates, Bezos, Elon Musk etc. did all this stuff just to become a billionaire? Do you think Bill Gates sat in front of his computer all the time because he thought "Oh yes! I will make this software to earn billions!!!!" I don't think so. Therefore I don't think they give a fuck.

If you provide value or you have a great product, the money will come by itself. Thats the real deal.

A billion is hard to spend... Better give some millions to charity or homeless because that's too much money for only one person. Nobody should have so much money that's ridiculous.
Too bad, it's not your money and not your decision.

I think the saying, "because I can" as a justification to anything is wrong. Just because you "can" doesn't make it right or mean it's right.

yes ofc, with their existence and if they kind enough they can help each other
its kinda like make a balance in the society

Most billionaires are awesome!
  • They create jobs for people, so that they can sell their stuff (Amazon, google, alibaba)
  • They have visions (yeah they keep changing, like bill gates helped eradicate polio where ever he could)
  • Their companies drive national economy
  • They are mostly humble people (deserve to be on the top)
  • They have goals too! Maybe they want to push their company to be the biggest in the world and that's what makes them happy? Not everyone loves to do charity all the time but sources say that most do charities whenever they could.
I don't know why most people think billionaires should not have goals and aspirations in life. Money is not everything, I am sure Warren buffet will never be able to spend all his money before he dies but he still doesn't waste money. I don't know but I think that's what makes him happy.

It's not the money which makes him happy but the growth of it?
