How do you know that a product is profitable ?
Then how do you spy on ads on that product ?
And how do you target ?

1. Check product's gravity.
2. Spyfu+SEMrush for search ads spying and Google for SEO spying etc.
3. Write content? Or start testing if going paid traffic route?

Just about anything can be profitable. Question is do you have resources to do it?

Spyfu, Moz, Semrush, ahref.. try to know links driving the most traffic to the site

Test, test and test until money finish or you find the right audience and you make ROI

I still make a decent amount of money from Clickbank. No paid ads, just targeting the name of the products as keywords. That said, I've noticed search engine volume for the product name keywords diminish over the years - no doubt because a lot of the products aren't being updated and are frankly poor quality compared to things you can find on YouTube.

I'm also ranking for keywords related to the actual problem (with no reference to the CB product) but those visitors don't convert well at all.

How much is the conversion rate ? and how many visitors are you getting ?

17-28% order form sale conversion rate depending on the product. Lower ticket products have the highest conversion rate but most of my money comes from high ticket conversions. Getting around 800 hops a month this year across all products I'm promoting. Obviously website page views are a lot higher.
