[Case Study] Indexing and Ranking Parasites & Spun Content

shows once again what many of us already know - of course spun content also works :)
there are so many false claims regarding content. mostly from content writers as they want to sell you content, so they spread rumors that spun content is bad, which is ridiculous.
good luck with your projects!

yea the spun content 'works', until anyone reads anything on the blog and sees it's all nonsense hah

i guess it can build a nice 'backstory' for ranking tho

till google identifies cleverspinner articles better or something

I know how to find expired tumblr but the main problem is: When I wanted to register it, It was saying this username taken. How to solve this problem.

It seems you don't know to find expired tumblrs. You only know to find dead tumblrs that are banned by tumblr.
You need to find those that are deleted by their owner. And you can find those only by checking for registration.

How to check them then?

Definitely going to give it a try. Thanks! One question: how many links do you get for each parasite?

I haven't built a second tier to them. As they are expired tumblrs they already have backlinks.
But you may get a nice boost if you can send even a couple of cheap pbns.

Not niche relevant, no additional links and they still rank pretty high?

thanks for the case study, any suggestions you would like to share on how you index them?

I haven't done anything in particular to index them.

Just selected Tumblr with tons of backlinks and posted 1 article with +1000 words.
If I remember correctly they got indexed somewhere between 1-4 weeks.

Did the Tumblrs' rankings stay relatively stable?

Let me run a test on semrush.

Update:
Out of the 5 blogs, I remember only 3 as I fried my last hard drive.

From these all are still ranking mostly on pages 2-3 for keywords with 10-400 searches.

That's pretty badass. I've got some expired Tumblrs I'm wanting to run a test on. Thank you for your research. I'm wondering if doing social signals would have sped up the index time.

I doubt they can do harm.
Maybe you can split your tumblrs in 2. One with social signals and one without. And see how it goes.

Thanks for this case study! Is it safe to point these spun content parasites to the money site instead of an affiliate offer? Thanks!

If they rank and get traffic, I would point them to an affiliate offer.

Otherwise, they are good to go as tier 1.
But, if you want to play it extra safe, use unique written content.

Thank you!!!
If I write a unique article for a parasite that points to my money site (for example, on Medium.com), is it OK to make more parasites (on other authority sites, like Tumblr, Change.org, etc) ranking for the same keyword by spinning that article? Or should I write a unique article for each parasite? Thanks again.
