What's the backstory of this? I'm clueless.

In the last few thousand years the moon has been at just the right distance from earth to produce a rare type of solar eclipse where the corona of the sun is still visible, but still enough light is blocked out to turn day into night within a minute during a total solar eclipse.

This makes our planet a major tourist destination for intelligent life from other solar systems who wish to witness this limited time event, because in a few thousand more years the moon will be too far away to produce such a breathtaking sight.

Anyways, as usual we overreact and assume they are here to invade or steal what has to be primitive military technology to them, for some reason. It's heavily speculated that they hold some captured/detained aliens at the area 51 military base in nevada, because at one point this location was a secret, due entirely to the top secret aircraft they researched, developed, and tested in this remote location.

The aliens are actually at wright patt air force base in ohio, probably being experimented on, definitely not addicted to heroin.

You should be all caught up now.

If I'm not making sense it isn't my fault, every bit of this whole circus is as stupid as it gets.
