This sucks. On the Asus motherboard I did 1 change and it worked.
On the Gigabyte motherboard I did a bunch of changes to get it to work. And I got it to work, I got the OC thing going, the XMP thing appeared and I could choose a profile, the PC booted using the new USB, all great.
But then I did a reset to optimized BIOS defaults and lost it again.
I did that because I did a bunch of changes and I was worried I had set it in such a way it would eventually burn the PC up quick. Playing with voltages and whatnot.
So here are the changes I made:
DRAM Voltage (CH A/B) - changed from auto (1.200V) to 1.350V
---
Memory Timing Mode - changed from Auto to Manual
System Memory Multiplier - changed from Auto (2400MHz) to Manual (3200MHz)
---
CPU Clock Control - changed from Auto (100.00MHz) to Manual (100.00 MHz) [maybe this one is redundant.. i changed it to what it was anyway]
CPU Clock Ratio - changed from Auto (3.60GHz) to Manual (3.90GHz)
---
Core Performance Boost - changed from Auto to Disabled
AMD Cool&Quiet function - changed from Enabled to Disabled
Global C-state Control - changed from Auto to Disabled
The problem is, I don't know which combination of changes did the trick.
@Visual Eagle how is this looking to you?
Now I'll try to change the stuff I marked in red above and then see if that works.
