New PC after turn on nothing happens

Somewhere on the screen it tells me:

Adjust system memory multiplier to adjust overall memory frequency. 'Auto" s ets the memory multiplier according to memory SPD (Serial Presence Detection), a multiplier setting configured by the memory vendor which follows standard JEDEC specifications.

So I mean.. shouldn't the motherboard auto-adjust according to the RAM I plug into it?

What does "OC" stand for?

With an 8 GB ram from my old PC, the new PC works like a charm. The problem is the RAM 100,000%! Which is great, found the problem :)

I can't confirm if Ram is compatible with the motherboard. That's why I asked.

The problem is the ram.

I'm not sure what you mean about the FSB and the out of sync thing. How do I check it? What's that all about?

FSB means front side bus
Your ram is ddr4 3200
Your ram bus speed is between 800 mhz to 2133 mhz

Out of sync will mean your MB will not be able to handle the ram speed at any given time. This leads to your pc to freeze. Applies also to faulty ram.

Always check that your MB will support your ram speed.

Does my motherboard not support it?

Motherboard info:

4x 288-Pin DDR4

The mobo supports DDR4 3200 RAM. There should be no problems. Which CPU are you using? You need to cross check the RAM vs the CPU compatibility list too. It's rarely the mobo that would be incompatible with the RAM.

I believe you got all the answers you need on the thread... If you don't understand them then you might wanna take it to someone that knows more about building PCs.

Exchange ram for less MHz if you want to run out of the box or overclock the Frequency of Ram to 3200 in BIOS.

Yea technically that CPU is only up to 2933mhz ram but it doesn't cause any problems if you go over.

If the RAM is too fast usually the motherboard will just slow it down to where it will work. Can always see if you can tone it down in the bios anyway and run it at a lower frequency. If it's already at 3200 he can't OC it to 3200?

Well, yes and no. Look at what @satyr85 posted above. If he's right than it's just not compatible and nothing I do will make it work.

That said, I am trying to figure out how to overclock the Frequency of Ram to 3200 in BIOS. When I change "Auto" to "Manual" next to the System Memory Multiplier in BIOS, it just reverts back to Auto on its own immediately.

That is true but I've personally seen some mobos do this shit where if you don't set the OC to corresponding value then it just won't work. It is why I've suggested it.
 
Just because the RAM isn't on the compatibility list doesn't mean it's not compatible. You can return it and say it doesn't work? It could still be broken?

Dude, did you use pcpartpicker.com before buying the components and building it?
If not, thats where you've gone wrong. Some of your components may be incompatible with each other. Put your components into pcpartpicker and see if there's any clashes.

If its not the RAM, its most likely CPU issue (bent pins). Are your pins bent?

You are right but with compatible 2 ram sticks we can be sure its not ram.
OP - test your setup with one ram stick only. Try that with both ram sticks. Maybe one is bad.

Okay, I'll do that.

By the way, my BIOS won't let me change the "System Memory Multiplier"

On other things if I double-click on "Auto" it gives me an option between Auto and Manual, and I can switch. But on System Memory Multiplier I am not allowed to switch.

Also in the manual it talks something about Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.R), but I can't find such a thing anywhere in the BIOS.

Okay I tried them both. The same old behavior, the pc/monitor doesn't turn on at all.

If I turned the pc on and off and restarted it about 7 times, then it would turn on, and freeze within 5 seconds.

I put back in the 8GB ram from my other PC, it turned on right away.
