Hello.. I'm not sure if this is normal cause this is the first time it happens to me.. I made a site and got indexed today however when i search it in google, my website is in the search result but it is just a plain url of my website.. no description whatsoever . hmmm is this bad??

Thanks

Do you have content on your site? Plain text? If you have content you may have to wait some time. Check if you have a meta description too.

yeah it has content. I have wordpress installed and have made two 300 words post. It's kinda optimized for a certain keyword and what i'm worrying is if i repeat the keyword too much.. hmm anyways I guess I have to wait some more time.. Thanks for the reply kind sir!

Do you have the description tag defined inside the head tag of your site ?

Install the wordpress plugin Headspace. It's used for that particular problem.

Maybe your cache is not indexed? This happened to me before. The way I fixed it was Check the privacy tab in Settings and make sure to check the tab that says "Allow all search engines" That is turned off by default now. So it blocks all search engines so make sure it says allow. that fixed it for me.

This happened to me also and I freaked out!

Simple fix - go to SETTINGS > Privacy in the dashboard and make sure the I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers option selected, save it and in a week or two itll all be back to normal. :)

What keyword are you searching? If you are searching only the domain, try to search the domain and other keyword (that you have on your site).

Example: yourdomain keyword

You should have a description now.

Oh you know what this is probably right. It's a new retarded feature when you auto upload wordpress using fantasti-something. I don't do it but I heard about it.

I have already installed all in one seo pack and had already put a description in there before i made my first post.

I'll try headspace and the other suggestion about privacy tab now.. hope this will solve it.. Thank you all for the help!

ooopss.. yep i guess its the privacy setting thats causing the problem... its default to not allow search engine.. damn!!!

Thank again for the quick help!
