hey ho comrads!

I just want to know if autoblogging is still a thing nowadays?
Do people succeed with this tactics?
What parts are the best to automate?

It still works but gotta give it a try, I have seen sites using copied content and banking but autobloggins is risky because you will be posting a ton of articles daily which can go wrong.

It's kind of a hit and miss thing really

I will try that's forsure, but what about the frequency of my posts? Maybe one per week is enough?

1 per day giving credit to the original source could end up working but you gotta try it and yes make sure to update us with your results :)

If it will work at least a tiny bit, I will create a thread about my road. Thanks dude! ;)

I have made a "fanpage" about some youtube celebrity. I did it because I had a few hours to kill. The page posts youtube videos from the said celebrity but I have no idea what else to post, to make the site appear more alive.

I'm also thinking of using autoblogging plugins which would pull articles about the celeb in question. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

If I were in your shoes I would start blogs about succeeding in Youtube maybe?

You might want to let OP know about how many posts you do daily and the plugins and stuff you use for auto-blogs
Auto blogging is now a numbers game I have around 1300 blogs with over 1000 posts making 500 to 600 dollars per month. These blogs were created on february on blogspost.com. I have not touched them since then. I used a private bot for blogger that I coded myself in python.
As for posts per day it took me only two days to publish 1000 posts each on 1300 blogger blogs.

And I created my own simple blog platform from scratch with php and html last two months so that I can scale up with subdomains.
I bought 10 .info domains created 1000k subdomains on each. I have total of 10000k blogs. I have already posted about 10000k posts on each of them with another custom bot I created specially for the platform.
I posted 100000k post on each in a day. The only challenging thing is how to index them. I have managed to index an average of about 1k pages in each of the blog. I only invested around $15 for 10 .info domains and I have already made $150 this month.

search for splogging in this forum you will see many threads on that. Read Threads of seomadhatter and co.

Yes it is if done in a right way (e.g. make rich media sites rather than classic text autoblogs).

This is how a modern autoblog does look like (DEMO): http://www.manpinner.com/

A couple of video tutorials:

Both of them use freeware scripts only.

Depends for what you use it and how you use it. Autoblogging is perfect for a bunch of strategies. But is all in the details. And there's loads of details, depending on what you're trying to achieve.

waste of time and money, you add value to the internet is better approach

If they made well, why not? They are the same thing as Google News, Yahoo News etc. I.e. they are aggregators. And a real useful aggregator is always a good thing. I mean why Bing News is a good aggregator but your aggregator which is dedicated to some narrow theme/niche should be bad?

Stop thinking about autoblogs as they were 15 years ago. Think about them as about some cool looking and easy to use rich media content aggregators. It can be a video aggregator, a news aggregator, an image/gallery aggregator, a pinboard aggregator or a mix of all that together. For example, I know a lot of people that make many thousands of dollars a month with very simple video, livecam and image gallery aggregators in adult niche. Their sites work in a 100% automatic mode - fire and forget. Technically they are autoblogs (they are using WordPress and content curation (autoblogging) plugins), but visually they are video tube sites, image gallery and livecam chat hubs with tons of auto-updating content from lots of various sources.
