RIP Peerfly. Shutting down on July 31st

Every cent that PeerFly has will be paid out. Publishers with balances under the payment threshold are welcome to email the [email protected] email and ask for payment. I can't promise everyone under threshold is going to get paid, but I can promise there will not be any money leftover once the doors are closed. PeerFly will not be launching another company.

let’s say i have $30 in my account with them, is there actually anything i can do about it except bitch at them?

I spoke with the FTC and filed a complaint, but that won't do much, especially with the time frame given. If a lot of people call, though... (1-877-FTC-HELP) I also spoke with my brother in law, who works for a corporate lawyer. He suggested off the record to contact the Florida Attorney General and file a complaint (http://myfloridalegal.com/contact.nsf/contact?Open&Section=Citizen_Services) Again, with the time frame, it's unlikely.

The company will be liable, however, for all debts until they actually dissolve, and they haven't done that as far as paperwork submitted. I'm actively seeking information as we speak. If I find anything more solid, I'll let you know.

I personally would not bother as it is pretty hard on the folks closing shop emotionally but the legal avenues are available.

I'm not sure if there is any money in my account or not as I've not used them for some time but, again, 40.00 to some is real money and if they are owed it they should get paid.

It really isn't worth it. The steps that would aquire the $30-40 would cost way more legal fees. What happens is, until they properly file the paperwork, they still exist and they still owe you. You have to file a claim with Peerfly, they will more than likely deny that claim, and the next course of action is a lawsuit to recover the debt. This wouldn't even guarantee the cash, though, because by then Peerfly is going to be 100% broke and bankrupt.

The way they set this up, they protected themselves from getting sued by the big accounts and making it not worth the effort for the smaller accounts. I understand the emotions, but they actively sought newbies that were dismissed completely. And it's not really about the money earned, it's about the money spent to earn and I don't think I ran across many newbies that didn't start at a loss.

To be honest, the person I really hate seeing wrapped up in this is Luke. He's always been the bridge between Peerfly and any affiliate he could help, and it looks like he's still powering through.

Solid reply. It seems more of an effort to scam away then respectfully close. If I went on vacation for a week and came back to my account gone with my money unrecoverable I'd be pissed as well. If they want to make this somewhat right Id extend the timing by a month or within a month of the next net30 payment. Surely if they are just paying people out they can keep the site up and not just push any traffic, but this is still money that the advertisers have paid to the publishers and the publishers deserve their cut. Hope Mr French likes his martinis sour with guilt

And here I was just starting to think I was hyperbolizing... But in reality, there's no way to know how many of the remaining 50k accounts have more than $0 in their account. It is a little eye-opening to how widespread this might be. I've already read hundreds of messages about the threshold on quite a few forums. I don't even think at this point that there was ill-intent. It seems more like mismanagement and not really knowing how to finalize this part of the business. Couple that with figuring $50 is chump change and you have a whole bundle of ignorance with little time to solve anything. They filed an earnings report in April, and I bet they knew then what was going to happen, especially hearing about moving affiliates to a new platform. So instead of liquidating assets, paying debts to affiliates, etc, they continued to operate at a loss knowing they couldn't payout, making all of this kind of like a pyramid. Take my money to pay others you apparently wouldn't be able to pay otherwise and then tell me that I didn't earn enough to have a right to my cash. Some people get back 100%, others get 0%. No one seems to be anywhere in the middle. If this was a mom and pop's business, I'd have a whole lot of sympathy, but it's a company that does $8.2 million in revenue a year.

Yeah. a huge food chain closed down recently on no notice. Like they showed up to work with a sign on the door that they were closed.

I still give peerfly time tho to make it right and extend everyone a month. If you cannot make $40 in a month somehow with CPA then that is on you but 2 days is not right, now 1 day for the people like me who did not even know about this until today. Oh well. $22.30 is chump change anyway like you said.

Yeah, it's true. I remember reading somewhere that you can still log in, but any traffic will not be paid after July 31st. I think it's more for invoice and record-keeping purposes.

What's the best CPA network now for low paying offers like anti-virus, giveaways, etc now that peerfly is gone? I know peerfly had a lot of these offers like samsung giveaways and whatnot.
