scrapebox error-17 unable to download geoip

Error 17 occurs when the checksums don't match. This essentially means that the file is corrupt and you need to redownload it. This can happen when you download in the first place, if it gets corrupted in transfer, or while unzipping etc... Windows does many things in the background and sometimes this just happens. Simply redownload a fresh copy of scrapebox from the download link:

If the problem persists then you should try using a different unzip program, you can google for this, there are many free ones.

Does not work i visited the site already as i am customer since many years.I tried 7zip, Winrar, the native windows zip and even the solution to download the 32 bit version (!) From them.
Perhaps time to ask a refound and use another piece or sofware.

First your going to ask for a refund for a piece of software that had a 1 time payment with lifetime updates and support? Thats absurd.
If its just unable to download the geo ip database, the something on your machine is blocking the download. So whitelist in all security software such as anti-virus, malware checkers and firewalls and in your router. Take care to fully whtielist and not just disable security software
Worst case I can give you the direct download links, but its better to solve the issue, because whatever is blocking you will cause you other issues as well down the track most likely.

i have the same problem and already turn off my avast. but still cannot download geoip databases. already download new zip file from http://www.scrapebox.com/payment-received and still error when downloading geoip databases.

Turning off avast does nothing, as existing rules still fire, turning off only stops new rules from forming. Avast is known to cause issues with scrapebox.
You need to fully whitelist scrapebox and the entire scrapebox folder in Avast and any other security software. Some security software also requires you to whitelist in multiple places for it to take effect.

Hey guys, I had the same problem and thanks to the advice you all gave I managed to get Scrapebox running.
Here is what I did:
1. I downloaded the Scrapebox installation package once again, moved it on Desktop.
2. Added an exception for Scrapebox in Avast and Windows Firewall.
3. Opened it, waited no more than 30 seconds and VOILA here it is.

Glad you sorted it. You hit the nail on the head, you added an exception for scrapebox in your security software. That would solve a high percentage of the issues from people that I run into, just by its self. Even I want this sent to me please. 64-bit ScrapeBox containing all dependencies, folders, dll etc..

You need to find out what is blocking these. The error 17 in this case means something is interfering with the download. It might be security software in your router, it might be on your pc, but its something. Just downloading the files direct won't solve the issue, because then the software could just quarantine them falsely and even if it works it will just block something else later.
So something security related is interferring and you need to find out what and add an exception for the entire scrapebox folder or you can uninstall the offending software. Also you can try disabling your router firewall as a test.
