It's disheartening to see, sure. But just because someone, somewhere, is willing to do just about anything for a ridiculously low rate, doesn't make it the "going rate", no matter what part of the world you're from.

Something like that isn't a negotiation starter, it's a negotiation ender. Just skip over it, and spend time improving whatever skills you're selling and differentiating yourself from the pool of labor that would respond to something like that, in any way you can. Even if it's just a shift in attitude, it's a lot better than a race to the bottom.

Then they put an offer "out there" and thinking it's going to work. I would say that perhaps he doesn't know the prices of the market, but I doubt it, he most definitely searched for what he wants and saw the real prices. At some times you need to talk with them. They might be just asking for something and they don't even know what it is all about. In this case, looks like he has no idea what he is doing or asking for. In some cases even similar project posters if guided right might be possible long-term clients of yours.

100% agree on this.

What most people do is they contact these people, and then privately explain to them that what they are asking for is not realistic.

Then, you want to scare them, so you tell them that if they go with any other service provider, most likely their rankings will TANK and only you can be the correct service provider for them.

Link them to some scary articles about spammy links tanking websites. Then just offer them whatever you think is "fair" and worth your time.

Of course nobody can meet those requirements. He just doesn't understand what he is asking for.

The other people who will contact are: 1) People who spam Scrapebox links on random low DA porn sites 2) People who spam 1 website 10,000 times with Scrapebox on a subdomain with DA 90+ root domain
