I have also moved from Apache to Nginx and the site now loads at least twice as fast. I'm never ever ever going back to Apache!

It simply depends on how you optimize the server tbh. Both are fast enough.

I always use this to speedtest and see which things are loading and which aren't and then fix em accordingly. If you don't need woocommerce lets say on the front page, there are plugins to totally disable it on certain pages.

The fastest and easiest way to optimize your site is as follows:
1.- Start by compressing your site with gzip.
2.- Use the cloudflare service
3.- Minify your images

I find

Namecheap and Interserver servers quite fast. While Hawkhost on the middle, i dunno maybe because hawkhost hosts alot of adult sites. Buyshared for more low traffic sites.
