I need a website, but no money :/ for ambitious SEO project. Need Advice from SEO gurus!

The only links you can create manually are the crap forum/profile type links. Other than that, I don't know which backlinks you are talking about.

I used to do the same a few years ago and I went crazy after a while with the information overload. But then I had someone who knew his stuff mentor me and my success skyrocketed after that.

Lesson learned - It's important to invest in knowledge but try to get or hire (if possible) someone who can show you the ropes.

I am genuinely frustrated by you. You clearly only know about Black Hat SEO. Have you ever made good content? I guess not if this is your attitude. Have you ever linked to another website in your life? I link to 20+ websites a day, completely free of charge, without anyone asking me. Why? Because they created good content worth linking to! It was funny, or interesting, or solved a problem I had, or answered a question I had. I never said anything about not lifting a finger, so why would you say that? I said you don't have to lift your credit card. You have to do work. But it's free to do.

Try making good content that people actually like, and hopefully your mind will be expanded to a whole new world of SEO.

use Google cloud ($300 free credit), then Azure ($200 free credit) and then Digital Ocean ($50 free credit).

Buy a domain for some $3-5/year or if you wanna go totally free (I don't recommend this), get a free domain from freenom(dot)com

Still, you're just starting out, I'd advice its better do some keyword research (learn it from youtube or free courses shared on BHW) first before directly jumping.

You don't wanna waste time, money and energy trying to rank for something which was a lost cause from the get go!

My mentor was someone I knew personally and got him to coach me. The point is - try to get someone who's a pro to mentor/teach you the nitty gritty of SEO/IM. Real marketing knowledge is attained through apprenticeship, not by reading blog posts.

I want to start my website in tools like blogger, wix or anything like that which is totally free of cost.

I won't advice that better go for paid hosting even the cheaper hosts $1 to $5 yearly are better. Get your domain name no way you can move on an ambitious project without a brand domain name.

Still tight on budget then get on awardspace free hosting. I have personally used them so many times for my web projects and they are good compared to other free web hosts available out there.

Some points to keep in mind:

Always keep backup of your website files and database.

Don't use nulled themes and plugins rather use the free ones.

Get something basic and fast loading like schema lite by mythemeshop, if it's more of a content focussed blog/website.

Don't go for cheap linkbuilding packages offered all along the online marketplaces.

Don't worry about monetization ways in the beginning, first build your website promote it rank it and get some traffic. Once you start getting traffic you can focus on monetization.

There is free hosting. For example, on Netlify you can host a static HTML site for free. Also on GitHub pages. You can even add your own custom domain, which you can get for as little as $1 from GoDaddy if you look or a coupon.

But issue is do you know how to write HTML and CSS websites? If you do, I would use Jekylls The Static Site Generator, to manage a static blog.

Is this ideal? Nope. But its free hosting, and it's scalable once you can buy some hosting.

But I don't know your skills.

There are certain barriers to entry in every niche and you can't just rank #1 with good content. This strategy may have worked back in 2004-5 but it no longer works now as big corporations with multi-million dollar budgets are literally eating up the SERPs.

SEO is a major driver of traffic and of course with the amount of competition these days, everything in SEO has a price tag.

Tell me what you need to spend money on if you create good original content that users actually want. If the content is good, your users should be building better backlinks than any service you can buy, in a more natural way than anyone else can make it look, with no footprints that will eventually get you penalized, and at a higher rate than any service.

Search engine ranking isn't meant to cost any money at all. Search engine positions are meant to provide users of search engines with the most relevant results for their searches. If your website provides the most relevant content, search engines are meant to rank you highest. End of story. Biggest problem? You guys don't have the best websites! Other websites are making better content than you!

Again SEO is NOT just the name of a service. You seriously don't understand the meaning of the word SEO and you are trying to argue with me about, and it is frustrating as hell.

Just give me some examples of specifically what you think you need to spend money on if your content is actually good enough to satisfy a users Google search better than those already ranking in the top 10. If you say proxies and tools, I will lose my mind. The only reason you cant rank for keywords is that your content is TRASH. You don't provide good content. So you are resorting to BLACK HAT methods to try and trick Google into ranking you higher than you really should be ranked.
