I would have been happy if I was born a few thousand years ago when people went hunting haha. Life was tough but to stay alive was the goal. The only meaning of life was - to survive and reproduce.

Life expectancy was like 30 years old. You reproduce, sure, but often the woman would die, or the child would die, or both. If you are lucky, you get to live into your 40s with the health of someone in their 80s today.

Yes, I believe Global warming and we should think about Seriously.

Humans destroying planet is bs? Do you live in a skyscrapper? " It's a natural thing happening for over millions of years" .Yes, millions of years, not decades as is happening now. You should be a speaker for the flat-earth believers.
Please dude, I was reffering to the climate, as in natural weather, not the environment as that IS harmed by people. Animals are getting extinct, water poluted, the air poluted and that is true, but the weather is going trough a natural change as it has been for, yes, millions of years

Man, you are trying so hard to be angry, when you really don't even understand the words I am writing. A lot of things you are saying do not quite make sense, so I don't know how to address them. I can't help that you take offense to facts and reality. You still have not disputed anything I wrote.

You are simply trying to argue that you are the rare case of someone who is (possibly) exceptional despite the lack of support you received as a child and presenting that to me as some sort of evidence that familial support has no bearing on someone's ability to be exceptional. That's an absurd argument.

We are talking about a subject that has been studied in depth here, not just my personal opinion on a subject. Here is a source which helps explain success factors and links to many different studies on the subject: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...ildren-13-things-in-common-list-a7711611.html

I didn't say they were setting them up for failure. I said they were setting them up for an average life. Of course, people can overcome these obstacles. But of course, that is literally the meaning of the word "exceptional." Your argument makes it seem like you don't quite understand the meaning of the word, and that's possibly a reason why you are attacking me for using it.

Mainstream educations are absolutely not overrated. The people you are referring to are average people who did not have the familial support, guidance, and resources that help people better plan their education, obtain opportunities such as internships and summer jobs, and ultimately obtain employment or go on to higher education such as masters degrees and PhDs.

"Zero carbon" is an entirely different argument that has no place here. Won't even get into it. If you believe you are doing good for the world, that's fantastic! Keep it up. Your experiences and achievements in no way conflict with my statements.

I don't need experience with having children to understand science. Again, you are arguing with science. You really don't seem to understand what I am saying. You just seem to want to be really angry.

That isn't the case in every country, in some places, it's easy to be successful without the help of the parents. In the U.S. getting a civil service job along with going in the national guard will get someone to the $100,000 level pretty early in their career without counting overtime from the civil service job.
They can take advantage of the tax code along with loan forgiveness to have their first degree paid back without needing to worry. Tuition assistance from the NG and civil service job will pay for the second bachelor's degree and masters. They will be able to use the GI Bill to pay for the Ph.D. program.

You have no evidence to support what you are saying about other countries and not needing familial support. My post isn't about making $100,000 a year. Your example shows a complete misunderstanding of my posts. The system of civil service and tuition assistance inherently requires it to only be available for the few, not the many. It has to be rare, and the vast majority of the people taking those rare spots end up being 35 year grinders.

It's scary how many people doesn't understand this, yet make absolute statements while trying put others down.

Just look at this thread: a lot of people making absolute claims, based on what they've read in the media and what they've heard others say. I don't even think 95% of these people have looked into statistics nor history. No research at all.

My two favourite quotes in this thread:
Whether someone believes it or not, it is happening for sure.
Whether you choose to believe it or NOT, it exists.

A couple of years ago everyone became experts in 9/11 and everything behind the crash. Next up everyone became experts in Illuminati, every kid knew about this powerful secret group. Now they know better than educated professionals in this area. Fascinating!

Oh as long as theres Air Conditioning it doesn't matter. And as for missed rains, the oil tankers are going to go out of business in a few decades. They could be commissioned to bring fresh water/Ice from Antartica.

Those spots aren't rare in the U.S., there are tons of civil service jobs all over the United States from the municipal level up to the federal level.

Most people just aren't genetically able to succeed in life, they will have some sort of addiction rather it be alcohol, drugs, tobacco, sports viewing, porn etc. Even if they are handed everything to them by their parents, they can blow it all away on partying and luxury things.

Global warming is a hoax. Climate change, on the other hand, has some truth, but its not related to human behaviour. The climate has been changing since the wolrd has been created. Its a normal and natural thing happening for over millions of years. Did you know that the temperature of the planet used to be 2 degrees hotter then it is today? The climate is still an unknown natural event that needs much research. Now if you are thinking about global warming, do you know if the water levels rise only 10ft half of the USA will be gone as well as other continents? And in that case if we do know that we cant do anything about it, why are banks giving loans or investing in real estate on the sea side? If they know that all of it is going to be lost. It makes no sense. I did some research on the climate and as it seems to me, the humans destroying the climate is complete bs. Its just a psychological, or manipulating story to get you to do things that the government wants. In that way you will do as told so that they can keep control. Lol this sounds like conspiracy but its true and control of everything is a sickness that people get when they gwt a grip of power
Climate change is something, which is supposed to happen lot slower on its own as it did in the millions of years you're referring to, when there were no or minimal human impact. A radical climate change is not something mankind experienced before many times, because it's supposed to happen over a longer period of time, unless there's an exceptional event, such as a bigger vulcano eruption, which alone is capable of changing the climate for years.

I'm not sure what research you did exactly and where. The vast majority of scientists agree, that greenhouse gases play a big role in climate change, a portion of that is human induced. Climate change can't be blamed on one thing and one thing only. It's partly natural, but certain human activities work as catalysts and speed the process up, only the extent is a question.

Are you suggesting that it's completely normal that the Greenland icesheet lost more than 2 giga tons of ice in a day (on 13th June) in a season, which is not even the busiest ice melting period there? Records set 7 years ago will retire this year.

Why do banks give loans? Banks give loans for every kind of purposes even for the stupidest things, simply because they're in the position to do so. Fun fact: if you got a loan, you need to pay it back whether you still have the house or not, banks don't care that you lost the house due to any reason. If you bought a car using loans and it gets totaled or stolen, you still need to pay the loan back fully, if you didn't have insurance, it's 100% your loss. Banks are well aware that some of the loans will never get paid back, they still provide loans.

Haha right. But better than living for 80 years of shit.

The climates of the world are obviously changing. Everything changes over time. There was an ice age, stone age and will be another age

How is it going to affect our children and future generations worries me..

Sorry but explain specifically what is horse shit and why.
45yo long study with 800 twins put in different families came to the conclusion that the major factor is genetics and environmental factors have very little effect unless it's serious ones like child abuse etc. Published in nature few weeks ago. Get rekt all you liberals that think everything is related to environmental factors

It is a very interesting question. It is as real as the changes in our world, which we can see. Mass extinctions, glaciers melting and increased forest fires.

I believe those are it, not sure I read on paper

Do i believe in global warming? Yes but not at this moment. Do i believe in climate change? Yes of course.

Do i think humans are the sole reason this is happening? Not even a little bit. We aren't saints and we do a lot of damage but in the long haul, we've barely scratched the surface when it comes to the amount of damage we've done. The biggest contributors are cyclical in nature, from the sun all the way to the trapped gases in the crust of our planet. For example, one good belch from an underground chamber of ancient greenhouse gases puts out more stuff than humanity has in 100 years.

In any case, I've long been a proponent of global cooling and the solar minimum cycles which we are moving into now. Sure just because some places get hotter doesn't mean the earth is getting hotter, It just means weather patterns are changing. It's my opinion things are going to start getting much cooler.

Either way, the end result is always the same. A certain percentage of species get wiped out, and a new set of species forms. Man is too smart to get wiped out by a cyclical process, However, we may take some damage. (While the masses are demonstrably stupid as shown by social media, smart people do exist lol).
